We are stuck with a player from Single A who's game will not translate to the MLB. D- signing

I will explain by comparing him with HA SUNG and jUNG HO from MLB who played for KBO. I'm a Korean. It has better contact ability than HA SUNG and has similar power. The power is lower than jUNG HO, but the contact is excellent. His ability to handle the ball quickly has also been verified through WBC. At least this player won't have trouble hitting. However, although the defense is not bad, it would be difficult for a corner outfielder to hit more than 20 home runs. He's not as quick on his feet as ichiro was in the past. You can think of him as a type like Tony Gwynn, who was active in the past. The mentality is great. Strengths: Contact ability, great mentality. Cons: Speed and power are not overwhelming.

That is pretty optimistic. From looking at past players who came from KBO their OPS usually drop from around .150 at least. Last I checked he had around .890 career OPS in KBO so it will prob drop to .740 range. Unless he adapts very fast which is possible. HaSeong Kim struggled in his first year and got a lot better.

If the plate discipline translates to the big leagues, he'll be a good no.3 outfielder. Someone in the mold of Shin Soo Choo, perhaps. Signing Lee was likely as much a marketing move as it is a roster improvement for the Giants.
Ichiro had tons of infield hits. He's a righty but batted left handed to reach first base faster. MLB throws faster, but the infield defense isn't as tight as it once was.

As a korean living in Texas now who watches both KBO and MLB, I know there is almost no chance that his success will be close to Kim's success in the MLB. His power was not even top tier in KBO, which means he has to hit like .310 ~ .330 AVG and over .390 OBP to be a valuable player in the MLB, which I think is going to be very difficult and challenging for him. But Lee's potential is definitely amazing, and I still believe in his contact skills and his ability as a player.
(Also, the gold glove in KBO is not given for the defense. Gold glove is given to the best player in each position, including hitting and defense.)

His father was a monster I have never seen... his debut was 1993 when he got
Mvp in final and in the following year, 0.393, 196 hits, 84 steals, 113 runs, OBP 0.452, OPS 1.033 (All 1st) a way far from second even 18 homeruns in 126 games. He was a leadhitter and shortstop. His defense was brilliant and strong. He tried to do what nobody seemed to try. One interesting story was he has been all positions except a pitcher. I can remember he caught a runner tring to steal second base as a catcher. I thought he was fxxx crazy. He spent another four similar seasons to 1994 in korea. Kbo was too boring and small for him. That's why he moved to Japan.
He was the first player who moved to upper league as a hitter in korea.

4:54 I'm sorry to say that it's more like between A and AA. I'd say pithcing is A, batting is high A, fielding is A, baserunning is AA, and arm strength is about high school level.
Players from KBO are harder to predict than players from NPB. That said, comp would be Angel Pagan, Adam Eaton, Ichiro's Marlins days or Norichika Aoki with slightly better defence.
