Dave, I bought this compressor largely based on your review and I'm very happy with it. Although it's not very noisy compared to other small units I replaced the inlet filter with a Solberg FS-15-050 and it's really quiet now. Very nice tool!
The downside I see with this air compressor is where Rolair places the gauges. They are way down low, under the carry bar, and that makes it difficult to see them and when you set the regulator for the air output to the tool you are using. A 45 degree angle back would help greatly. A very nice air compressor, six gallon would be better, not sure why the PSI isn't higher on these as I have seen on others but it seems to do the job with enough CFM output.
This compressor is sweet. Its pretty quiet and the toolbox is really handy. After using the toolbox I'm surprised more compressors don't come with one to store some handy tools. One piece of advice, this unit isn't packaged very well for shipping via your typical fedex etc. I'm sure it ships fine to dealers on a pallet but individual boxes are subject to not being kept upright and damaging the compressor inside. Go look for a local dealer and purchase there instead of buying online. I purchased mine through Acme tools and after several shipments of damaged compressors, I really regretted buying online
Dave, you should always wear ear protection. You will be thankful you did years later. Better to protect your hearing now than be wearing hearing aids very soon!
Hi Dave always enjoy your videos. What air hose are you using there also what diameter is the hose. I prefer the smaller diameter hoses, easier to manage. Thanks for the great videos Adam
I'm glad your happy with the vt20tb. It's not to loud at all and the tone isn't irritating like other compressors, but when compared to the jc10 it's loud. Thanks for the tip on the Solberg FS-15-050 I'm going to order one and try it out. Enjoy your new tool!!!
Now there's one high-quality tool that is NOT overpriced. I'm getting a Rolair. Terrific review, Sir. You covered all the bases.

It's a flexeel hose that's a 1/4" in size. I'm glad you enjoy them!!
Another very nice and actually useful review. Well done.
