I think your putting to much emphasis on exclusives.
In Japan and EU it doesn't matter at all what exclusive and how many exclusive Microsoft brings, people won't buy an XboxOne.
In US things are closer, but Sony snatched up exclusive deal for COD and Battlefront, probably the biggest titles this fall.
And don't forget that MGS is also a very Playstation centric franchise.
I doubt that any potential customer will look at Ps4 this holiday season and think that there aren't enough games to play.
I also always curious why people act like Sony having no exclusive heavy hitters between sept. and dec. is such a big deal while Microsoft hasn't has anything since nov 2014(and nothing to come till late august 2015 probably) and nobody cares about that(not even consumers).
This debate about exclusives is stuff for core gaming forums, nobody in the real world cares.

I agree slightly but Microsoft's next exclusive isn't in late Aug. It's Rare Replay on Aug 4
JamanWerSonst DLC exclusive for COD and Battlefront don't matter. I still think PS4 is a better system but I like the games better on Xbox One. Personnel opinion. If I had the time and money to spend, I would definitely get both.

I don't think the lack of major AAA exclusives this year will hurt Sony at all. Because most of the biggest games of the year are being marketed mainly on PlayStation.
Call of Duty, Battlefront and Assassin's Creed are all receiving the same treatment Destiny got. All gameplays followed by the PS logo, bundles, etc. I don't care about this, I'm all about the games, not the marketing. But Regular Joe on the street will favor a PS4 purchase with these games, and these are the titles that sell millions.
With that said, I think Microsoft had a fantastic E3 and they're on a great path. Was their conference the best? Personally, I don't think so, but that's because FFVII and The Last Guardian and Uncharted and Horizon look more interesting to me. But they are, and Colin is correct about this, the company who's changing and growing the most these days.
I just don't know what the hell is going on with Nintendo.
Guilherme | Ghost Instead of releasing all of their games in the Fall, Sony spreads them out throughout the year. MS hasn't released anything all year until Forza comes out.
No Man's Sky briefly was listed on Amazon around
E3. I added it to my wishlist. Then shortly thereafter Amazon deleted it from my list and its catalog. So I think it will be a "regular" game and not a $20 game.
Listening to Tim talk about games, brings me back to my childhood days of Mario. Haha. I loved those days, but I'm glad I branched out...
Could you say that No Land Beyond isn't unlimited in terms of resources of planets being possibly used up permanently?
TheSpaceTiger Firstly, I presume you are talking about No Mans Sky. Secondly, no the resources of planets cant be used up permanently because it would take you till literally the collapse of the sun to explore all the planets, and thats a dev quote not mine.
yeah by taking the nintendo handheld and being able to hook it up to the tv when your at home :D would be a game changer

Cawby I'm not talking about my self. Lots of people have hyped them selves up thinking this will revolutionise everything and whatnot. I don't care as long as I get to kill some time. Hell, I play loads of shit games. I buy every Dynasty Warriors at full price and I got no problems with it.
Aw, well I'm hyped for nms, but because of what they've shown being really representative of what I want in a sci fi game. The people who are expecting things that aren't confirmed only have themselves to blame. Hellogames hasn't promised anything that hasn't been shown to the press.

Listening to this today has been quite an interesting ride.
It was awesome to actually HEAR about what No Man's Sky is like. I got *LAMBASTED* on the Playstation youtube comments when I pointed out that we didn't know anything about the gameplay and that I was reserving judgement until we saw some solid, actual, not on-rails gameplay.
It's really reassuring to know that the gameplay is more than good, it's great. What an astounding accomplishment for 10 people to set out and create.
Tye Roberts I think it's because we have known about a lot of aspects of the gameplay, either from the trailers/gameplay demos, the interviews with Sean or from the articles written by the press who've done hands-on or been there while the game was being demoed as such.
I think, like me, that the fans of this game are very passionate, so they attack people who instantly say anything akin to "but what do you do" because that information has been decently fleshed out, especially in the months leading to e3 with the new yorker and business insider articles. I think that it's fine to want to see it for yourself before you make a decision on purchasing a game, but that doesn't mean what the aforementioned articles have to say is any less valuable in that same regard in determining what the gameplay of the game can be like. Either way you'll get 20 minutes of gameplay that's supposed to be on one planet on Monday.
Mario Maker looks fun... But... I want Megaman Maker. Please, world. Before I die...

Commenting from the future. Good Episode guys! . My only thing is, why does nobody give Microsoft shit for not releasing anything for the first 6-8 months of the year? Sony peppers games throughout the whole year, but all anyone wants to talk about is Microsofts lineup for this Fall. I never hear ANYONE give them shit for not releasing crap the rest of the 8 months out of this year.
By the time MS first big exclusive of the whole year comes out Sony will have already released 3. The Order, Bloodborne, Until Dawn. They could easily do what MS does and hold those 3 titles for the Fall so it looks good. Can we stop pretending only 3 months matter. END RANT. (I have a lot of fucks to give about this issue lol)Thoughts?
Ben Malin Thanks you sir. Yeah it's just quite annoying that nobody brings that point up. We give sony all this shit for the fall but Microsoft 0 shit for the first 8 months. Makes no sense. Sony might as well just hold their games till September if it's going to be this way.
nolson0 That's actually a pretty good point. Never really thought of it like that. I'd much rather have games spread throughout the year anyways as there's only so much time I have to play video games and having a bunch dumped on me at once means I'll have to push playing some of them back anyways.
nolson0 The only reason Sony had those big games come out was because they were delayed. Plus I'd rather have nothing than a 6 1/2 hour $60 interactive movie like The Order.

Is there any big difference between One and 4 like really? A difference that actually matters.?
Jordan Bolduc Objectively, the ps4 has a better gpu, the xb1 has a slightly better processor, although those are almost identical, and the ps4 has an advantage in the ram department. Does this really matter in the long run? For multiplatform games, not very likely, that's more dependent on the developers if they decide to take advantage of one consoles aspects more than the other. It will mostly be very minor graphical and performance differences. For exclusives though, eventually ps4 will have slightly better looking games, but it probably won't matter too much in the long run.
This is all based on the specs on paper though. Certain things like xb1 having two operating systems running simultaneously, or reserving 10% of it's gpu for the kinect, the need to run games at lower resolutions, will impact things in the long run, but who knows by how much.
For sure, I love how Colin points how Nintendo has to get it right and hit it big with the next console. And wow the Switch may not be a powerhouse but it is doing great for Nintendo!

0:14:26 i think youre all correct, and it makes me disappointed in humans for being so easily convinced to buy something because a Logo pops up. Reminds me of all the Xbox One owners I saw on the Bungie Forums go out and Buy a PS4 because all the Ads for Destiny didnt have an Xbox Logo. And instead of thinking or researching, they went and spent 500+ dollars on a new console they didnt need to play a game that was coming to the console they already owned.

Miles Dolding agreed to an extent, the new 3ds could be alot better with the graphics. but for the consoles, which i think more people are talking about when they say nintendo are bad, need to step it up, the wii u is horrible when it comes to the specs
Yeh its a shame the WiiU is such a mess. However the games it does have are great. MK8, Bayo2, Smash Bros, Hyrule Warriors, Wind Waker HD, Splatoon for example. I think the 3DS and the WiiU are both at the end of their life and i think Nintendo know that, which is why this years e3 was so underwhelming. I get the feeling next years e3 is going to be huge for Nintendo. At least if Nintendo want to stay in the business.

Would you rather have remakes of old games and sequels to games that have lost their steam (Gears Halo Forza) the only remotely interesting game was Recore and it doesn't look as impressive as Sony's new exclusive IP Horizon.
Or would you rather be patient and wait for better games. (Last Guardian, FF7, uncharted4, Horizon,Shenmue 3, no man sky)
Also they keep mentioning Sony's lack of exclusive games during the fall but Fail to mention that MGS has always been a franchise associated with Sony. Not to mention it looks better on the PS4 anyway. I honestly believe Playstation owners will be playing MGSV the entire fall period all the way into 2016 and beyond. I can also guarantee higher sales for MGSV on the PS4 than Xbox simple because most of the MGS fans are familiar with the franchise through owning a Playstation
Backwards compatibility is big but I can't think of a 360 game I want to go back and play that hasn't already been remade lol

Until Dawn, then Nathan Drake's Collection and that's it? Speak for yourself Collin. I'll be playing Persona 5, Dragon Quest Heroes, Tales of Zestiria, and I'm quite positive about Rime and No Man's Sky coming out this year. Also, multiplats like Metal Gear Solid V, Star Wars BF, why would I choose an Xbone to play those? Even Fallout 4 should run and look better on PS4. Why do you make it seem like the Xbone has sooooo many games? Forza, Halo and Tomb Raider. Who is going to be playing that? I mean, Tomb Raider looks good, but I can get by playing all the other stuff, and I'm sure plenty of people will have their hands full with better, bigger games (including gamers on Xbone alone could skip those 3 big titles and still have a LOT to play).

No one.. NO ONE.. gives a fuck about playing their 360 games on their xbox one. They can play them just fine on their 360 if they want to play them, but a year into a new generation.. no one actually will put in and play a disk from the last gen.. at launch when their aren't games.. sure.. that is a selling point.. a year in.. its not a selling point, no one cares.. devs are stopping to make games for the old consoles...people have moved on. Its not going to put someone over the edge and make them decide to get a xbox one.. they could already play their old games, on their old console.. this does not sell a single xbox one.. its a waste of resources just for the PR.
I think it's a big deal for this current green of consoles. Many people I know we're pleased with that announcement, me included.
I don't want to play on the 360, if I can play it on the Xbox One. I have the 360 ready for when I want to play games I don't have for One, but it's sort of a drag to plug it in & whatnot. There are games I haven't played last gen & this is a great reason to play them knowing that I can use my Xbox One.

sluggdiddy I own a ton of xbox 360 games that I have yet to start, for example South Park: The Stick of Truth, and Gears of War: Judgement, and would love to play them, but I really don't like going back to my heavily worn-in 360 controller, and would prefer to play with my x1 one. Own them both digitally, can't wait to play them when they are added to the back-compat list :D
Luke Batt I think you're in the minority, dude. Honestly believe that. There are maybe a handful of games at most a 50/50 split of people would like the go back to play, and can now on X1, but.. the majority of gamers won't do so, barring Xbox Live or PSN being down for any extended length of time.
We'll see in due time anyway.

The Order 1886 was not worth the hype you guys gave it and as sony fanboys shouldn't you have like a weekly destiny let's play. Thinking you guys need to reconnect with the PlayStation fan base to get more hits and playing destiny would be the trendiest way to do it. Screw destiny though warframe is way better.
