Gotta be honest with you chief, that clipper sounded like it was about to die at every moment of this cut. Also, it sounded different in at certain points of the cut, like the power was inconsistent. My opinion is if you are on a budget, grab a cheap corded Wahl clipper for $30. If you don't have money to spring for a good cordless clipper, then you probably dont have money to replace a cheap one when something goes wrong with it. Even reputable cordless clippers clunk out without warning sometimes.

I cut my hair for a 3 years now and I use to do the fading down technique in the beginning but I can tell you that for me it’s much easier faster and more effective to use Guidelines
I agree 100%. Fading down is not efficient. You don't have any guidelines to measure distance between movements. You need structure with your technique which is why putting in guidelines and then fading them is much much easier to do.
