My 23 yr old son was just talking about this, even though he does not study the scriptures I had ask him what he wanted for easter dinner, and he said I don't celebrate easter. He said our God is eternal and the current calendar doesn't know the exact month or date & changes every yr. He said I celebrate God every day and all day I don't need a special date on a calendar to celebrate the resurrection. I was so happy when He said that. This makes me question should we have easter dinner?
“Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day.” Col. 2:16
Thank you Lord for Kanoe. I am finally caught up and can follow along daily. Kanoe is helping me learn deeper into the words. And I have found a station on the radio that I enjoy listening to on the way to work of singing and praising. Thanks Be To God.
At this time, my favorite book is Nehemiah. I remain amazed by his example of faithfulness to his employer as well as his God, and his example of leadership. The way he saw the problem and used spiritual means as well as his natural talents to get the job done. I started studying him because he is clearly process-oriented - like me! - and I needed to look closer at how he did things. He is someone to emulate.
One ministry that I have been blessed by has been Passion For Truth Ministries. They have a lot of teachings on holidays we celebrate. I also follow Christine Vales. She has teachings on God's appointed times. Learning to read God's word from a hebraic mindset has really helped to understand Him more. Blessings!
Such an annointed and blessed bible study. I needed this as I am struggling to trust God in the area of a relationship. This gave me so much wisdom. Thank you.

It just started talking about all the others who rise up to against Nations. I stopped celebrating Easter because once I read the Bible I found out that Jesus only celebrated the 7 feasts according what God the father had established. Easter, Christmas, Halloween and others Jesus did not celebrated. These Holidays are men made holidays not God’s. When we want to be faithful to God then we will obey only his word and not what men tells us to obey.
Easter actually began as a pagan festival to celebrate the spring in the Northern Hemisphere, long before the advent of Christianity-this is according to Google

I looooove Nehemiah- it was my “redemption” book when I came out of my own wilderness!
