Technically with the super damage attack doing 10X damage, a critical doubling that, and a perfect damage roll (1.15 times damage) it can get up to 23X the base damage.

the zapinator is the owner of one of the most entertaining ways to kill enemies
sometimes the knockback is lucratively high and fuckin launches the enemy miles away
sometimes the beam spawns and goes right back towards the enemy you just shot, like an influx waver beam
sometimes the thing does an insane amount of damage (it drained nearly all of skeletron's hand hp when i got the gray zapinator on master mode) for seemingly no reason, to degrees that far exceed what you could reasonably call "critical strike"
and sometimes the beam just

crawls along
and eventually kills some unfortunate squirrel or zombie
10/10 weapon, super entertaining

i had the orange zapinator and was fighting skeletron prime, his head still had like 20k health left and i shot once, ended up hitting a 20,550 shot with it. before i looked at my dps i wondered why he died in my one shot, then i saw the dps
