This all just tells you how the press wants to push Lebron because he is the current guy but obviously Jordan had the biggest impact and is still on everyones minds 20+ years after retiring. And the only tell half the story. Jordan had a knee injury after playing 60 games when he was 39. There was times during the season they would drain his knee so he could go play the game. The injury just became to much and he was out the remainder of that season.

Lebron would just score the points to get his stats up at a time when defense was already lax because the other team was 15 to 20 points up. He gets his numbers and then just stands around on defense and then the other team wins. Lebron is the GOAT alright when it comes to stat-padding.

@@Ginamy72 - There's a difference between scoring during garbage time versus scoring to win. 2003, Lakers vs Mavs - that was when the Lakers were down by like 30 points at the half, and the Lakers came away with a win by the end of the fourth. Kobe and Shaq started piling on the points at the start of the third and got their team in striking distance to steal the win by the fourth. And that was only possible because the Lakers tightened their defense to cause stops. Therefore, the offense scores, and then locks down on D to get the stop. Lebron scores during GARBAGE TIME - where there is no longer any possibility for the win. Too little, too late. He scores to get his stats, but then just stands around on defense and just trades buckets with the lead remaining in double digits. That's hardly the definition of trying to do everything to win. But that's what a player does to make his stats look good and avoid the blame for losing because he "scored 30 points".

I’m a Lakers die hard and have been a fan of the team for decades and as someone who was really happy when LeBron James first came to the team after Kobe retired, and as someone that celebrated the bubble championship even…….. i’m ready for him to be off the team. The Orlando series, G1: 40 mins, 36%, .60FT%, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, 8 turnovers for 19 points. Even though Kukoc, Kerr, Perdue and Wennington had a much better FG%, MJ shot 22 shots at 36% basically making sure that the Bulls lost. Pippen on the other hand, had an even worse shooting night, but he at least rebounded the ball (10), assisted his team mates (7), blocked 3 shots, and did not turn the ball over as much (3). Also, he did only shoot 11 times, limiting the damage of his poor shooting night. This game is one low points in MJ's career. It also shows one of the systematic weaknesses MJ had - he could only dominate by scoring. Also, in comparison, when LeBron played in the 2011 series, he was treading unknown territory where the young, inexperienced team lost to the veteran team. When MJ had poor game 1 against Orlando, he was a 3-time finals MVP. The main difference is that media, and so-called experts on the Internet wanted LeBron to fail, and made the most out of it then, and still to this day. I remember MJ fans just getting silent after the Orlando loss, and his fans kept making excuses such as he hadn't played for a year or whatever.

I’m a Lakers fan, have been since childhood and I’m tired of it. The worst thing this franchise ever did was bring in LeBron. The talk is all about him. Let’s be honest, he is the most protected superstar of all time and not even top 10 all time in my opinion. His presence is disruptive to any team he is part of. The best thing for the Lakers and the league as a whole is for him to retire and we can build the team around people like Russell and Reaves.

I believe that we forgot about so many players from the past that have all helped build the market: Michael, Kobe, Oscar Robinson, Julius Irving, Jon Havlicek wheres LeBron has just increased his own ego. Been a Lakers fan my whole life, watched every laker championship from Shaq and kobe's first until kobe's last. Stopped watching when bron came over. TODAY, the NBA and their media push LeBron and are trying to make LeBron more than what he really is and ignoring all the other good if not great players, and some may be even better than LeBron. It's the same with Biden. The media makes Biden more than what he really is.

@@Ginamy72 - There's a difference between scoring during garbage time versus scoring to win. 2003, Lakers vs Mavs - that was when the Lakers were down by like 30 points at the half, and the Lakers came away with a win by the end of the fourth. Kobe and Shaq started piling on the points at the start of the third and got their team in striking distance to steal the win by the fourth. And that was only possible because the Lakers tightened their defense to cause stops. Therefore, the offense scores, and then locks down on D to get the stop.
Lebron scores during GARBAGE TIME - where there is no longer any possibility for the win. Too little, too late. He scores to get his stats, but then just stands around on defense and just trades buckets with the lead remaining in double digits. That's hardly the definition of trying to do everything to win. But that's what a player does to make his stats look good and avoid the blame for losing because he "scored 30 points".

I’m a Lakers die hard and have been a fan of the team for decades and as someone who was really happy when LeBron James first came to the team after Kobe retired, and as someone that celebrated the bubble championship even…….. i’m ready for him to be off the team. The Orlando series, G1: 40 mins, 36%, .60FT%, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, 8 turnovers for 19 points. Even though Kukoc, Kerr, Perdue and Wennington had a much better FG%, MJ shot 22 shots at 36% basically making sure that the Bulls lost. When MJ had poor game 1 against Orlando, he was a 3-time finals MVP. I remember MJ fans just getting silent after the Orlando loss, and his fans kept making excuses such as he hadn't played for a year or whatever.

Been a Lakers fan my whole life, watched every laker championship from Shaq and kobe's first until kobe's last. Stopped watching when bron came over. I've never seen so much mediocrity celebrated with the Lakers. I remember when staples would boo bad performances. Now I see this dude getting standing ovations in losing efforts. The fans recognized their greatness, and the NBA rode on their coattails. TODAY, the NBA and their media push LeBron and are trying to make LeBron more than what he really is and ignoring all the other good if not great players, and some may be even better than LeBron. It's the same with Biden. The media makes Biden more than what he really is.
