Dude, these videos are amazing. Like, I can’t believe there is a niche RUclipsr covering the very specifics I’m interested in…but here you are, keep it up!!
Dang it! You're killing me. That light and just a small light for regular use. makes a great combo. It's on my wish list. VERY nice practical LEP, for sure!
I feel like the main use case for this light would be dealing with tinted windows, where you don't want a spill that's going to reflect off the glass back into your eyes, but you need that intensity to peirce through(and back). And being so small is huge, given you'll still need your primary light, of course.
You should be able to use other chargers. Just charge at a rate at or below what theirs does and you'll be good. Usually want to charge at 1 amp or less for 14500s. All of what I said is true unless it's some kinda really weird battery, but I doubt it. Using the provided charger is a good idea in most cases.
Far throw is nice but such a flashlight is basically useless for short distance. "Zoom" flashlights seems to be the best solution for all situation but there is huge lost up to 50% when is beam focused. I'm still waiting for improvement of focusable TIR optics.
@@flashlightcrazy To be honest, the beam of the Ant Man was a bit underwhelming. I'm not a fan of the beam. It was the smallest LEP that Lumintop had on offer at the time. The Thor 1 or Lumintop Petal have a much more intense beam and they can throw further. The Weltool W2's beam looks better than the Ant Man's!
I just bought a weltool t12, and I want to buy a few more 18650 batteries with overcharge protection and 3000-3500 mah. Any recommendations? Should I just get the weltool brand batteries, or are there better options?
are the end caps the same thread between the w2 and t1, i want to get the bb7 extension tube and get a w2 and try to fit a 14100 battery, do you think it will be possible?
While I’m sure you’ll be able to find some officer somewhere in the world at a nothing little police department maybe trying this light out because the marketing bug got them but otherwise I stand by my statement. The, there’s no spill so you can keep your night vision marketing point falls flat on its face.
Hi, could you please explain this comment? The information I received from the maker is what I forwarded into this video. So I would love to hear from another person's perspective and experience. You sound like you may have experience so may you please help us learn as to why this point falls flat on its face? When I used this light from inside a room, it did not disrupt my vision at all. But you may know a lot more than me so I am definitely open to hearing what you have to say. Thanks for watching and thanks for the comment@@MidnughtMerauders
@@flashlightcrazy light and dark adaptation take time. The marketing is that the lack of spill prevents incidental refraction, umbrella lighting on the walls while POA is through a threshold, but this light is generally so secondary in intensity compared to what you’re pointing directly at that its effect on slow light adaptation is very minimal. If I was that concerned with the refraction I’d move closer to the threshold. In the military and LE we need some spill to aid in PID. I’m going to argue that such a narrow spill is going to lead to longer time to PID which is dangerous. If you needed to locate the enemy in a dark warehouse you’d want some spill.

What's the best way to buy these flashlights in the UK? Thanks for all your great videos!
How would you say it compares to the Lumintop Antman?
How would this compare to the mini cosmos or antman?
I'm second. Cool light. Very green.
True I wish it had a better tint like the lumitop ones.

Nice alternative to the Lumintop Ant Man!
I am hoping to compare the two. Have you used the ant man?
@@flashlightcrazy I tried the Ant Man at Lumintop 😀

Good light man.

I would stick to the weltool branded ones for that.
con,is the price.
Do you know, if its possible to remove the pocket clip from weltool lights without scratching the light?
Probably you can with minimal scratching. But they are on there pretty tight so it is very likely it will mark the light
Im 33
