Very well explained I been confused about this front end alignment shi_ after watching your video I got better approach on it no wonder it never worked out for me just subscribe to u going check out more videos hell ya keep up the good filming ✌️🦐
I'm starting to understand why suspension can make such a big difference in lap times. Keeping the tires in full contact with the road in both cornering and straight line is nearly impossible, but the people who get closest to keeping the tires level at all times will have a huge traction advantage.
I will say, this js a great video that could help someone understand these afjustments better, and the physics of what a cars suspension actually does under certain loads.
Good video except the caster part. The shopping cart 🛒 has negative caster, not positive caster and your wheel/strut visuals of what positive and negative caster are don’t show which direction is the front of the vehicle so it kinda defeats the purpose of saying this or that is positive or negative because there’s no way of telling which is which unless you know what side is the front of the vehicle.
The caster wheel on shopping carts are an extreme case - the system is undamped but stable, as the wheel oscillates around the "correct" path. The construction has relatively high trail, but no caster, which allows changing of direction with minimal force.
Thank you for the great Video !! I have a quick question. From the example with shopping cart, I thlught the caster was negative. But in the video it comes as an example of the positive caster. Could you please correct me?
Dude shopping carts annoy the hell out of me now. 😆😆 Especially the Walmart ones. It's like buying a Buick LeSabre from someone who lived in a trailer park.
I know it would be hard, but can you find some more annoying background noise to blast us with ? It currently takes about 15 seconds to want to jam an ice pick in the ears to make it stop. Surely you can shorten up the suffering.
You’re thinking of the Tyre contact point relative to where the axis is connected to the cart. Rather think of the Tyre contact point relative to the axis itself. If a line is drawn through the steering axis to the ground, and that point is forward of the tire contact point, then the caster is positive.
@@umangu But according to the direction of movement of the car, the contact point of the wheel is already in front of the point from the center of the steering axle to the road surface
Is it ok if left tyre has negative camber of -0.15 and right with positive 0.16 ? . Is it necessary to have both tyre either negative or positive camber value ?
Front and rear sets of tires can be different, however both the front set of tires must have the same camber, and the rear set must have the same, the front set can be different from the rear. If there is a difference in settings in the front set it can cause excess tire wear, and weird and unstable steering
I recently started -a wheel alignment shop, these visions are explained in a simple version, so I like to translate them into my language . is it normal ??
If you remove that background music, it’d be more beneficial and understandable for some to focus on the content, especially those that are new to the materiL
If possible, pull this and work on it. The music level is too high and the various concepts, presented by synthetic voice, are too rapidly laid out. Viewers should be given 2 seconds between these facts. Remember how a human would do it, and do it similarly - with pauses. We swallow in mouthfuls, not continuous flow.

There is no discussion of polar moment of inertia.

This is by far the most informative video on front end alignment.
Thanks
Thank you! Now I can get back to tuning my car in Forza.
No way, you also play Forza!!
Woow this is by far the best video I ever seen on RUclips explaining this topic.
Thanks for your support. Glad it helped, we will release more animated videos to explain complex engineering principles in a simple way😀

This was so helpful! Thank you!
Great graphics and example animations
3:30 Wouldn't the front wheels of a shopping cart be negative caster?
Another great yet simple explanation video
Good video except the caster part. The shopping cart 🛒 has negative caster, not positive caster and your wheel/strut visuals of what positive and negative caster are don’t show which direction is the front of the vehicle so it kinda defeats the purpose of saying this or that is positive or negative because there’s no way of telling which is which unless you know what side is the front of the vehicle.
On the caster illustration or image, you see the exhaust system tips at the bottom. I think I can tell what’s the front. Hope that helps.
@jesusgollaz7724 oh boy, wait until you hear about fender exit exhausts 🤣
On shop casters the line is drawn from the top of da swivel to bottom of swivel. Not center of the wheel. Contact patch trails

Cool video and animation I learned a lot you earned a new subscriber can’t wait for new vids!

Thank you for the great Video !!
I have a quick question.
From the example with shopping cart, I thlught the caster was negative. But in the video it comes as an example of the positive caster. Could you please correct me?
Positive caster is where the tire contacts the ground is behind the ball joint axis
Shopping carts are NEGATIVE caster
Your mom has negative caster.
😂

Thank you. I thought the same thing when I saw the picture.
Shop crt caster the line is drawn from the top to bottom of swivel. Not center of the wheel
Saludos desde México, excelente contenido y explicación, de favor no dejes de subir este tipo de contenido es muy importante la aportación.
the shopping cart has negative castor, not positive
Positive caster is where the tire contacts the ground is behind the ball joint axis. shopping carts are positive
Very nice, thanks 👍
Awesome video and explanation..keep up .Thanks 👍
For 4x4 pick up truck suitable for positive camber ?
Tnx for your awesome video
Thanks for your support. We will release more car parts videos in the near future. Stay tuned for more content 😃
3:39, unlikely it looks like the contact patch is in front of steering axis😢
Very informative
Shop crt caster the line is drawn from the top to bottom of swivel. Not center of the wheel. So contact patch trails
How i explain caster is the forward or rearward tilt of the steering axis from vertical. Rearward tilt is positive and forward tilt is negative.
Thank you very much for the explanation
Now I can fine Tune my cars in Need For Speed ProStreet
What is the good camber alignment for daily use?
on my left rear wheel, my tire is experiencing negative camber.

Thanks for the suggestion. We have noticed the noise and have lower the volume of the background music in our recent videos :)
@@animatedengineeringstudio use less or softer rhythmic sound. Rhythm hoards attention
Can someone please tell me how a positive camber on all tires will affect your car or am I just going to have to find out myself
Very interesting, thanks for sharing.
Thanks for your support. Glad it helped, we will release more future animated videos on engineering principles😀
mantap bang
please use human voice ,ur videos are good.
GOOD video, GOOD speech/voice speed and clarity, BUT, BUT, why you need to add ANNOYING MUSIC ???
I REALLY agree. I'm in my 70's, and music makes it very hard for me to hear the words. If you really need music, about 1/3rd the volume should do it.
Won't the shopping card have negative caster?

negative and possitive wheel offsets are not explained in this video guys!?
@animatedengineering8571 now do one about the mechanics of an electric shopping cart like a Tespole or a Polela...
As far as I'm concerned shopping carts are negative camber.
Great video, however, unduly hampered by overpowering music. Totally unnecessary when explaining technical automotive information. C'mon Guys...
Just turn the music down a little

Caster part with the cart is completely wrong. This video is a fail.
The background music sucks and has no added value
