    Camber adjustment is done with wheel off and jacked up,would it not be different from adjustment with wheels on ground

    • @jermainethompson8823
      @jermainethompson8823 3 месяца назад +1

      @@afzaalkhan.m Good question. I wish PRO 2 would answer it. When PRO 2 took off the wheels he loosened up the camber adjustment bolt on the car before he put the camber tool on the wheel hub. He then went on to putting the camber tool on the wheel hub and adjusting it to read the 0.3 positive camber it had when the wheels were on the ground. My question is; would he have gotten the same 0.3 positive camber if he had put the camber tool on the hub before loosening up the camber bolt? If yes then would he have needed to adjust the camber tool to read 0.3 positive camber before adjusting the camber by using the camber bolt to negative 0.5

      Es lo sorprendente, pero al elevar el carro no deberia variar la inclinacion. De otra manera, si varia al elevarlo es porque hay problemas en alguna parte de la suspension.

    love the content, very details. The calibration part is very important and other youtuber simply don't do it.
    just a question though, would it be possible to adjust the camber with the stock bolt? my car is having the same suspension set up as yours.

    • @marblox9300
      @marblox9300 Год назад +1

      I am thinking the Stock Bolt is a trial and error kind of thing. That CAM BOLT on eBay says it replaces the stock UPPER bolt (for precise adjustment). I am a complete novice and haven't tried this yet but I am getting ready to try.

    • @marblox9300
      @marblox9300 Год назад +1

      The newer cars may already have an upper CAM BOLT from the factory. Would have to pull the bolt out and look to see if it's a strait regular bolt or if has an offset CAM in the middle.

      When you corner at higher speeds, a slight negative camber angle ensures that the tire's contact patch (the area of the tire that touches the road) remains optimal. This means more rubber is in contact with the road, providing better grip and reducing the risk of losing traction.
      Negative camber allows the outside wheels to maintain better contact with the road during turns. This improved grip translates to better control and stability, especially noticeable during high-speed cornering or on winding roads. At high speeds, especially when cornering, a -0.5 degree camber helps keep the tires planted. This increased traction is crucial for maintaining stability and reducing the likelihood of skidding or understeering. Vehicles with a slight negative camber can respond more predictably to steering inputs. This is particularly beneficial during sudden maneuvers or when driving on uneven or curvy roads, where consistent performance is necessary.
      When driving with a neutral camber (0.0 degrees), the tire tends to wear more on the outer edges due to the natural lean during cornering. A -0.5 degree camber shifts some of the wear towards the inner edge, balancing out the wear pattern. By ensuring a more even wear across the tire’s surface, a slight negative camber can potentially extend the overall lifespan of your tires. This means you might not have to replace them as frequently, saving you money in the long run.
      A vehicle with a -0.5 degree camber often provides better feedback to the driver. This improved communication from the road to the steering wheel can help a driver make more precise adjustments, leading to a more engaging and enjoyable driving experience.
      A -0.5 degree camber setting is a good compromise for various driving conditions. Whether you’re navigating through city streets, cruising on the highway, or tackling twisty mountain roads, this camber angle offers a balanced performance suitable for diverse environments.
      Conclusion
      Overall, setting your tires to a -0.5 degree camber angle can provide significant benefits, particularly if you value handling, stability, and tire longevity. It's a small adjustment that can make a big difference in how your car performs, especially when driving at higher speeds or through curves. If you enjoy a sportier driving experience or frequently drive on winding roads, this camber setting is definitely worth considering.

      @pro2chilox got it, can't take it back to firestone I guess, they always set it to 0.0 and they can see my tires are obviously worn on the outside and they do nothing or say anything about it at all, thank you for that explanation, hope you have a great rest of your day!
