It's virtually impossible to get a bed in a mental hospital these days, even if you're severely psychotic. It's disgraceful. I don't know what a fun run is supposed to achieve. It's becoming harder and harder to access mental health services even when you need it.
There's no parity with physical illness because mental illness has nothing to do with medicine and there's no cure. I'm not saying that people are making up the way they feel or they are lying, I'm just saying its not a real disease so parity will never happen.
