It has been stated in the British tabloids that Diana and her brother were not very close. He lived in South Africa while she lived in London - that's not very close - William and Harry would periodically visit South Africa when they were young but after the death of their mother and the words Spenser spoke at her funeral against the royals their attitudes may have changed - just speculation on my part but not the part from the tabloids.
@@montecristo3697 It has been known for many years that the British tabloids did not ever answer to the royals - in fact the royals tried to enact controls on the tabloids without success. And forgive me - but having seen some of the stories in the British tabloids there obviously was no control possible by the royals. In fact - Diana pleaded with the tabloids to please leave her and her children alone and Charles himself even pleaded with the tabloids to do the same. Would the tabloids have obeyed a request had it come from the Queen herself - I doubt it very much - you have a very mean press system in Britain. Think back to how they beat up on the Queen when Diana died - they were screaming at her because she wasn't at Buckingham Palace - but she had a perfectly good reason and one I find very noble, a reason any mother/grandmother would appreciate had two young boys in their care lost their mother suddenly - she was trying to console and comfort her grandsons - something most reasonable people would want to do rather than be in the limelight.

@@maxthecat14 Judging by the state of the car, I don’t think a seat belt would’ve made much difference. @@hildeschmid8400 She had concussion and various injuries but cause of death was the chest injury (her heart was displaced, rupturing a pulmonary vein). Impact without a seat belt usually causes head injury (as passenger is thrown forward, the head collides with the head of the passenger in front, or the head restraint.) Hence concussion. But if violent enough maybe it could also have caused the chest injury. Otherwise, the chest injury (along with the laceration to her thigh) may have been caused by parts of the collapsing car itself, as the rear of the car appeared so badly crushed in the photos. So yes, it’s a possibility that wearing a seat belt may have saved her life. The survivor was the front passenger (bodyguard.) The main impact against the concrete pillar was on the drivers side. The car had head restraints protecting Rees Jones to the rear, his belt protected him from hitting the screen, and the frontal impact was on the other side. It was (for him) a fortunate combination of circumstances.

How could he expected to support Camilla and the betrayal of Charles? It's quite disgraceful for the whole country to have the man who will be king pull that crsp. Charles should step aside. William is more suitable.
because he also made mistakes and one need not hold people to mistakes, instead mature and grow by learning from them and hopefully learn to forgive others and ourselves, why hold one person to a standard that one cannot achieve for themselves. Prince Charles had an affair with a married woman he ended up marrying, King David did same with Bath Sheba, he turned back to GOD, asked for forgiveness, and Solomon his son built the Temple. That was in the bible, so I guess King David is a great example of learning from mistakes, making redress and turning back to GOD
The king treated Diana a damn sight better than Spencer did his first wife beating her black and blue. Marriages break down it’s a fact of life! Diana was no picnic to live with. Ask yourself why Charles seeked affection elsewhere and stop judging the man!
If history prevails, the men in the house of Windsor haven’t enjoyed as long of life as the women. Charles is the oldest man to be coronated. “Long Live the King” may be the sentiment, but reality tells me his reign will be short and William will be King before his 50th birthday, I’m willing to bet.

You have to move on and leave Diana's spirit alone. When she left us, she was already in another relationship and who knows what she would be doing these days? There's no way of knowing. It's even hard for us Americans who we wished Princess Diana had been the one to be Queen which she is still "Queen of the Hearts" of the people of the world.
There's no real reason for Earl Spencer to be involved with the coronation. Even though William and Harry are his nephews, the relationship may not be close. I believe Diana's legacy is good in many ways, but she did cause problems and cannot undo them. This man should just live a good life, it's what we all should spend our time doing.
Any “problems” diana caused were because at that time, the royal family was stodgy and she was married to a man who wanted to be another woman’s “tampon.”
But I can guarantee God willing if Earl Spencer is still alive when William is crowned he will be there because his nephew will be the King Of England.
How many wives has Spencer had to look after? And does he care about his nephew William who will carry the burden of being King? Two minutes in and I'm outta here.
Why would he go?? To see the man and woman who destroyed his sister’s life become king & queen? I’d want to puke if I were him. 🤮 Also, his sister’s death wasn’t accidental, and the evil perpetrators were the monarchs. Why would he want to set foot in the pitiful coronation?

They were both young and dealing with a lot of individual personal issues which neither understood. Thank you for your reply.
Following recent royal family issues do you still think of Diana when you see William?
Hello Mr Spencer. Thank you from Canada on never forgetting our Diana
@@rhh3582 ....according to tabloids, on behalf of the palace.
@@rhh3582 living in different countries has *nothing* to do with how close two people are.
My mother lives in the u.s., my american born/raised brother and his family live in Southern Australia, they Skype 1-2 times a month.
@@rhh3582I'm still searching for that comment where I said "tabloids press obeyed royals". I agree with Prince Harry. And you validate Prince Harry's accusation. To leave, let's say the concubine, Camilla, alone, we will serve up another one of our own. And Prince Harry and his black wife were fed to the tabloids. Even lies. (Meghan made Kate cry. Texts show that was a bona fide lie on that lady, with cooperation between the tabloids and the palace.) Anyway, what Camilla and Chuckie don't get is, it doesn't change the truth. And stories about their horrid behavior, back then, are now creeping out again.
His Unforgettable Speech at Princess Diana's Funeral is coming to pass.

He almost cried at the end of his speech
He was awful to his first two wives. he was in no position to criticise anyone else's marriage failures. Luckily, he seems to have mellowed with age and is happily married now, as are King Charles and Queen Camilla. Perhaps if Diana had worn a seatbelt, she would have remarried and even had more children. Who knows.
@@maxthecat14 Judging by the state of the car, I don’t think a seat belt would’ve made much difference. The sad truth is that the marriage of Charles & Diana should never have happened, and knowing he didn’t love her (he even cried on the eve of their wedding) he should’ve spoken up, and called it off.
@@justinneill5003 the only survivor was the only one wearing a seat belt.

This makes total sense. I mean, he is Diana‘s brother! How shall he honor Chales & Camilla?
Werderina You honour the position, not the person, also why would he go anyway? He has no role to play. Not all the peers of the realm can go, so why would he?

He didn’t honour his stepmother with the unbelievable nasty way he treated her so why would he honour anyone else?

Charles is not a man of honour nor his wife . They should have stepped aside .too many skeletons too many political issues interference. You have to move on and leave Diana's spirit alone. When she left us, she was already in another relationship and who knows what she would be doing these days? There's no way of knowing. Camilla is the wife of King Charles III, accept and move on with that indisputable fact. Why keep thinking about Lady Diana during the coronation? Nothing to do with it. Missing the person who marked your life, but you don't need to put his memory on events that if she were alive she wouldn't be participating. Let's keep Diana in our hearts and stop picking on the wounds she's overcome. Let's get over it too.
If it was not for Camilla at least it was Diana and Charles to navigate which ever and would have been acceptable no matter what the outcome was. But now QUEEN C is going to be lingering around like a broken tooth when come to Late L D and King Charles relationship.

It's even hard for us Americans who we wished Princess Diana had been the one to be Queen which she is still "Queen of the Hearts" of the people of the world.
He will most definitely be at Williams Coronation
There's no real reason for Earl Spencer to be involved with the coronation. Even though William and Harry are his nephews, the relationship may not be close. I believe Diana's legacy is good in many ways, but she did cause problems and cannot undo them. This man should just live a good life, it's what we all should spend our time doing.
Any “problems” diana caused were because at that time, the royal family was stodgy and she was married to a man who wanted to be another woman’s “tampon.”
But, he did promise to be there for his “blood family”. I guess it was just a show.
But I can guarantee God willing if Earl Spencer is still alive when William is crowned he will be there because his nephew will be the King Of England.
Please remind us🤔, ...what was the problems that Diana caused ????
How many wives has Spencer had to look after? And does he care about his nephew William who will carry the burden of being King? Two minutes in and I'm outta here.
Why would he go?? To see the man and woman who destroyed his sister’s life become king & queen? I’d want to puke if I were him. 🤮 Also, his sister’s death wasn’t accidental, and the evil perpetrators were the monarchs. Why would he want to set foot in the pitiful coronation?

Why not ask him about all the married men Diana had affairs with and the families she broke?
Yes, and why not ask the Earl himself about affairs, while married...
You yourself how many homes did you turned apart and still going to.
How brave of you ....many just overlook this pain she too caused other families ....beautiful clothes horse did this so naturally none dare to acknowledge her hurting others...
What was broken was dumb old goofy Charles, which unfortunately, Diana fell in love with. What came afterwards was Diana's business, not ours.
True, Diana erred as well.
I think Charles Spencer is an articulate sensitive man.....he has really come into his own in latter years. When I see him and hear him talking I think of his beautiful sister Diana 💝🙏
RIP HRH Diana
Should be RIP Dianna, list her Royal title when divorced, usual procedure
What a wonderful interview, thank you.
Every time I see Prince George's face I think of Charles Spencer. I see so much of Diana's brother, perhaps her father too, in him.
Interesting. I always thought George looks like Princess Catherine’s father, Michael Middleton. But that is the fun of kids to see these different characterizations as they grow up.
Just hope he's not inherited some of them characteristics.
George favors his Grandpa and Great Uncle. Louie looks like Diana a little bit.
Yes I agree
George is so cute
This is the brother that wouldn’t let Diana stay at her childhood home at the lowest point in her life, which led up to her going to Paris instead. This is the brother who played a key role in convincing Diana to trust Bashir.
Many will miss Diana , devastated she is not in her rightful place at the Coronation .
Yeah
The way a person treated others determined more compare to any crown.
The world love Diana anyhow her weaknesses and mistakes.
Thank you for already giving Diana out to the world.
Prince George is really looking more and more like Earl Spencer and that is a good thing.
That is so true even Princess Charlotte has her great uncle features MAY those kids always be Bless they are so cute n lovely to look at
I think you are right! Hadn't noticed before.
When everyone says how Prince George looks like Princess Kate’s father, I’ve always seen him resembling Diana’s father.
@@patricia7606 aren’t folks comparing Prince Louis with Catherine’s father???
@@robertandhollyscorpiofan2697 idk really. This was just my thoughts on Prince George, having seen photos of Princess Diana’s father as a young man. Have a great day!
Diana i miss you so much. I was not even born when she passed away and yet she has had an influence on me don’t know what it is but its intoxicating. ZDiana ❤
That’s awesomely Amazing Special Stunning Princess True Brother 👍😇🥰🌹🙏🏼❤️✊♥️🥰🥰❤️🥰✊♥️
I am the same age as Diana. On the coronation day i did think of her. Im thankful Earl Spencer has had time to grieve. After all the years i can see all the good Diana did in her short time. I can be thankful for the happiness she experienced right to the end. She had really moved past the hurt by the grace of God as has Charles Spencer. ..concentrating on what matters most. The Almighty knows what we cannot bear and takes us to Him at the right time. I like the Spencers podcast...in the long past the Washingtons who are related to our family were all friendly with the Spencers...so im enjoying seeing work on the land and Croft Castle. One day i will visit from Australia to visit Althrop and Croft Castle to breath the history
He is a nice chap!
Spitting Image of Prince 🤴 George.
Strange isn’t it that Charles can Mary Camilla, a divorcee yet he’s head of Church of England but members of same sex can’t marry.
We miss Diana very deeply….the coronation was a circus
This was a fantastic interview and I thoroughly enjoyed it so have downloaded Richards book.
I miss Diana so much. I am from New Zealand.
Why??
Go Earl ❤❤😊
Spencer didn't even attend his own daughter's wedding to a billionaire of same age as him.
Not your business
He was horrible to his first wife.
@@bernadettemurray8260 Maybe, JUST MAYBE, she was horrible to him.
@@stevefowler3398 Maybe, just MAYBE HE WAS Horrible to her!
They were both young and dealing with a lot of individual personal issues which neither understood. Now, I think Charles would be the first to say that he had no idea how to support or empathise with Victoria’s situation. He did, in his own way try but he didn’t have the skills or knowledge back then. It is also not easy living with someone with an eating disorder and other serious issues that affect day to day living. Charles did not have the best parental role models which, of course, played a part in his understanding of relationships. Between poor parental modelling and being sent a boarding school at a young age, which creates a myriad of emotional and developmental problems, at that stage in his life he simply wasn’t emotionally equipped navigate an intimate relationship and family life.
Charles & Richard are such a great match. Love them both ♥️
They won’t miss him.. He wasn’t there for her when she needed her brother.
Give it a rest
It will be a very emotional for Diana's brother to attend the coronation while watching that Camillia replaced his beloved sister....
That witch don't deserve it.
He wasn’t invited. Camilla didn’t replace anyone.
Our weekend has been about Diana💖🙏
We live in Australia but from Yorkshire
My daughter keeps saying in a posh cut English accent
‘There were three of us in this marriage.. so it was a bit crowded’!……
🫠🌟
You’re living in the past time you moved on! There was more than 3 in the marriage. Diana had a few lovers 🤷♂️
Liz McVey - get her to try - 'there were 7 of us in the marriage so it was a little crowded'
@@susanlockyer1192 ha ha.. who are the other 4?…
U were a heartless brother to Princess Diana
Harry has been treated badly sad lam sure he miss his mother deeply l to say he’s devastated and all the way been treated by him not fair by his father and brother and they rest royal family to sad to see harry he’s very with everyone he loves and very much respects with everyone around him because he’s never done anything wrong except to protect his mother and his family himself lets not forget he’s done something to this country us well just let harry and be happy he’s doing things for himself and move on with his life and his family with much love ❤
What a complete load of nonsense
Diana will Always be Queen of the People ❤
Here we go again Diana had more men in her life than you could shake a stick at. Some of them ha wife’s and children. That ok is it she was a piece of work.
DIANA BROKE UP HER MARRIAGE BY HAVING AN AFFAIR SOMETIME AFTER WILLIAM WAS BORN
That is a lie helped by Such people who have made a good living writing about Diana in a bad way.!. DIANA sadly realised before the wedding that he DIDNT Love Her.Just to make sure she knew it he invited his MISTRESS to the wedding.WORE the cuff links with their initials( CC) entwined on his HONEYMOON. PHONED her every day. You,ll be happy if your husband/ wife did that would you???. Good for you!!!. NOT forgetting of course just 2 hours after giving birth to a baby your husband leaves, gets in his car, drives to a Polo match where he KNOWS his Mistress is,DUMPS the bodyguard and then he and she drive off and disappear for THREE hours.Thats the day their marriage was finally over. ( If you notice when they left hospital unlike when she had William CHARLES DIDNT carry the baby.🤔
I sometimes wonder if Diana were not gorgeous, would she be so deified. Not so beautiful people have to work much harder to gain acceptance in most cases. Just saying 😮😮😮😮😮😮😮
@@Diamondmine212 Charles didn’t invite Camilla to the wedding per se. Andrew PB was part of Charles’s groom attendants and Camilla attended as his spouse.
Only because she thought herself in love with Charles. He rejected her, even before their marriage , as Diana overheard telephone conversations between Charles and Camilla. Had Charles loved Diana, her lovers would never have been in her life. They were not suited in many ways, Diana’s family was blue blood, so Charles bowed to his parent’s wishes
This Charles,Diana's brother is not a man of substance,he seems flighty and he is busy with his many families. He will not be missed at the Coronation,he has his career and his many families.
I disagree. He took ownership of a vast estate & made it so much better. He’s educated & a great writer. He has a life.
@@H1X2N4 Okay, nice,I am happy for him and his families.
@@H1X2N4 He also has been married four times and one of the break-ups involved domestic violence. He's in no position to play the righteous brother,
Who said he would be invited
It is obviously since he was invited before for Prince Philip then Queen Elizabeth II funeral.
@@arnhemzuid8885 Ha ha ha ha
He was not invited.
Hey that's Richard from Bronski Beat and The Communards, of course Jimmy Somerville was on vocals and Richard on keyboards. Nice to see he's alright still and of course Earl Spencer. I don't think I'll attend the coronation either, I'll skip it ❤️
Why would you skip the Coronation ? Don't listen to the left-liberal culture nazis.
oh wow, I loved Bronski Beat, well spotted
Good on Earl Spencer. He has principals and wants to protect his family
But he would go to William's coronation then? The Earl is a dodgy character!
William is his nephew!!! Different situation.
Who says William would want him there, after all he definitely helping Harry
Why shouldn’t he go to William’s coronation? He is his uncle
Partner in crime with Diana against Charles.
Many won't be attending
Better things to occupy oneself with
It's a ceremonial occasion
A king is crowned
Pageantry and another in the
Royal line
The common people strive on
With every day life!
Its your fault diana went on panorama saying too much.hence the divorce.then boyfriend.then death
