I met Diana at Northwick park hospital, she was there visiting a new paediatric unit , I was fortunate and honoured to shake hands with her, she came across as a warm and sensitive person, my heart goes to William ,Harry and grand children.

Always remember Earl Spencer....the FULL force of the "DIANA EFFECT"....the way she changed peoples views on those effected by AIDS ...her Humanitarian work ...her love of children and those less fortunate than herself...She was a beautiful human being ...inside and out ....full of flaws and made mistakes like we all do ...but she was the Peoples Princess... relatable and down to earth...i will never forget her and still find it so hard to believe she was taken from the world at such a young age ...thankyou for keeping her legacy alive ...

I remember the moment/the day/the funeral...very well. I was 3 dys in London, came here as an au-pair. The early morning I had a TV on in my bedroom and I remember calling my family back home about Princess Diana's accident in Paris. I remember my self on a tube, going to centre London and visiting Buckingham Palace. My family, where I was staying (Barking and Dagenham location) though that I must be absolutely crazy. I was new to London, didn't know English l. at all and I decided to go to the biggest tourist destinations in the world, never mind in such a situation - it was a chaos.

@@Rickolsen247 Charles Spencer knew that his sister Diana was emotionally unstable and treacherous. The Spencers ( and the Windsors ) have never been closely knit as a family. Diana probably just plotted as usual to return to Althorp estate because she would gain the sympathy and pity and support from the British press and people once again. There were plenty of places that Diana could have purchased after her divorce settlement from Charles. There was a video I was on a few months ago and it stated that Diana was looking to purchase in California. She'd probably get more attention in California with all the celebrities and cameras etc... towards the end of her life Diana's popularity and reputation was beginning to dwindle. Diana ruined a lot of marriages and relationships with her extra marital affairs at Kensington Palace. Charles remained with his one true love Camilla so Charles may have fared better.

@@JoanMorrison-vq2jc ... Because I fundamentally disagree with this 'reconstruction' and 'revisionary' smear campaign against her character and legacy. It isn't about whether or not she had ordinary flaws as we all do. It is about what the Palaces did PURPOSEFULLY and CREATIVELY to undermind her intelligence, her stability, her talents, her drive, her integrity, and her innate kindness towards others, and the public's opinion of those traits. They did so while she was alive and again in waves since her passing. Therefore continued spreading of these palace/press - induced beliefs is lying and those engaging in this behaviour are liars. At the end of the day, I will always question why ANYONE who feels unfavourably about a person clicks on a POSITIVE social media post about that person only to disagree and argue with it. Just stick to reacting to NEGATIVE social media posts where you can find your like-minded peers instead of infecting POSITIVE spaces!
