Amen with the “15k or 30k RS all the same” stop the great resto vids mate I’ve already done half my zaf gsi floor too cold now tho to work in my communal car park 😂😂 your level of detail and work are top notch mate 👌👌
Totally loved the vid guys takes me back a few years. We were RS nuts we had them all from the Mk1 xr2, loads of series 1 rs turbos, a couple of escort cosworths, 2 fiests rs turbos, a few sapphire cosworths, we still have a S1 non custom rs turbo that needs rebuilding. The gem of them all was a D reg series 1 RS Turbo which was split mint. Some drunk dude in an Austin Montego rear ended me and wrote it off.
Aaron Unknown yeah the D reg was rare but good lock with your build totally love your workmanship I wish I had the time and space to get my hands dirty once more. All the best buddy I’ll follow your vids
Great work so far .Looking forward to the next instalment. you sound like an Essex boy so you must know of jano at okc he might have a 90 spec rear spoiler .Will you v band the t4??
Well your craftsmanship to give it factory finish is absolutely amazing respect if I could pick someone to work on my car it would be you 💯% amazing work 👍🏻 keep the videos coming looking forward to the next one 👌🏻
I WISH I had some of your skill. I have a '89 1.3 Ghia that's rotting away :( Second owner and 130.000 km. It's really nice but I can't weld and can't afford a body shop for restoring the car :( My plan is to get it in a barn and cut away the rust and "seal it up" so it's not rusting away.
For Aaron Unknown and New Viewers... An amazing set of videos that have clearly documented the pain staking extremes you (and your sporadic on camera helper!!) have gone to bringing this absolute classic Fast Ford to better than new condition and spec!! What a way to spend my Sunday afternoon, the best bingeworthy box set I have watched in a while... 😎 (Even as a die hard Ford Fan I have no issue checking out your V*uxhall videos because I know they will be worth it for the detail of knowledge you will share!! 😉 #bridgethegap #fauxall #vauxord)
The world of classic cars is a minefield even experts get caught out old Fords are renowned for rust I would rather buy a car with rot and rust that way I can decide what action I will take and to ehat standard of restoration is needed.
Some of these so called body shops love filler . I recently done some work on a Capri for a customer . He'd had it in a body shop for welding and a repaint . I had to dig out all there bodges where they'd filled all the holes with fibreglass including a big hole in the windscreen pillar
@@AaronUnknownPerformance yep it's disgusting tbh there putting people's safety at risk . I'm a self employed mobile Welder and mainly work on cars so seen my fair share of other people's bodge jobs. I do it correctly as you are doing. No point plating over rot it just needs cutting back to good steel
Not a ford guy but really enjoying this project. Really great to see a nice bit of bodywork going on and I like how you just crack on with it!
Excellent work bud these rs' s bring back good memories from my youth great to see 1 being saved from scrap
