- It's mainly about the front section of your hair in this video, but then some about the sides, some about accessories, some about the back, okay, so its about all of your hair BUT whatever, the styles are easily acheiveable, require little skill ad are uber quick to do. I think, and hey, it's only my opinion but, I think they give an INSTANT pin up look. So, if you are just trying out a new pin up or vintage look and are still trying to get to grips with the, let's face it, relatively complicated hairstyling then this might be the video for you.

finally I find someone who is not so full of herself and is actually veeery helpfull.thank you for being different
I know, right? I will not name names but some of the other RUclipsrs who do similar videos really are full of themselves and seem to be more interested in showing off than in helping others. Also, the fact that Natalie is so positive and doesn't care about perfection really makes these styles seem feasible enough that we actually try rather than get mad over not being naturally equipped for it. Someone else on RUclips does a bumper bang tutorial where she undoes an impressive looking bumper and does it all over again because it isn't movie star perfect. 🙄 I don't think women in the 50s spent an hour each day on their hair given that they needed more time to get things done for lack of technology, restricted business hours and lack of home delivery services. Rosie didn't have time to fuss around with her hair, she had riveting to get done.
I am a school teacher and at the end of the day, I catch a glimpse of myself in the mirror and wonder how my elementary students have not run off screaming in horror. Your video has helped me look forward to the next school year without being worried about frightening the children. I have always adored the 1940s styles, as my mother was a young woman during that era and her pictures are amazing! What a lovely era for hair. Thank you so much!
I totally understand! I think these styles are perfect for you. Quick to do in the morning and there's no need to faff around with them during the day so you won't have to worry about them falling out or feeling unsecured. AND, they aren't too 'out there' in terms of style. no one's going to stare at you for being outlandish which is great for work. thank you for your comment xx
OMG Please don't say something like that, you are a gorgeous woman no matter how you style yourself, you'd look lovely in any way, your students will not feel scared of you at all!
Heck, you could even go so far as to do your hair in the styles of the era that your lessons are being taught about! Granted, this might only work if you are a history teacher, or School younger people and have to cover all the subject matter. Either way, just some food for thought! Plus, a little history lesson never hurt anybody.

The comments here are very old ! Are you still in business on this channel?
I am a busy Dad, but I Love the 40s & 50s vintage styles that I will try on my daughters. 🥰
hey just wanted to say thank you for this video! I work at a retro diner in Australia that serves American cuisine and this is just the perfect finishing touch for my work "uniform".
Cool. i'm really glad i could help that little bit x
I don't really follow hair and make-up sites. I'm partially disabled and can't do fine work with my hands anymore. Your tips were simple enough I could do a few. Doesn't sound like a big deal but being able do my own hair up pretty without asking my mother or a friend for help is a Huge deal for me. Thank you, thank you, thank you! xoxoxo
***** That is great news. Thank you for letting me know. It does sound like a big deal. Independence is a great thing, I'm so pleased that this video has helped you. xx
I'm a special needs teacher, but I had a car accident 2.5 years ago and struggle with complicated hair too. Hearing your post makes me so happy! :)
Yes!! I, too, cannnot do a lot with my hands. Your tips are great. Thank you

I loved your video! It really helped me figure out how to get that perfect 50's hair look fast, so I don't have to spend a lot of time in the mornings messing around with my hair. And your voice is so beautiful and pleasant to hear. Thank you for your tutorial! 😊
Fabulous news. Thank you for letting me know x
What on men's styles for a sock hop dance
"Suicide roll" is the name I learned for the "rip curl."
Great ideas and a TRUE beginners tutorial, not sure how the ladies did it so easily back then, part of their mystique! great for everyday
I Love all of these looks! I have fallen madly in love with these classic looks but have struggled to pull them off on my own. Thank you for sharing!

Finally. Finally a video for women with curly hair. Everyone who does tutorials has straight hair and my hair is curly like yours. So thank you. This is the best
I subscribed yesterday, and all I can do is say is a Huge, Thank You. I have hair well below the breast area, just started thinking how I would love to wear a Gibson Girl. I stated to research the subject and came up with lots of info, and I watched quite a number of videos , but came back to yours because it was so user friendly, simplistic and at the same time found it to be elegantly sophisticated. Your approach is warm and welcoming. Hoping to have a smashing roll up by Sunday. Again, Thanks from NC.
Thank you so much for your awesome tutorial(s). I am QUITE a novice, and I appreciate your "cheats," too!
So unbelievably beautiful. I have literally wanted these hairstyles my entire life and never thought I could do it. Until now. Thank you so much.
I love it! I just began working at a 50's restaurant and I'm kinda all thumbs when it comes to hair. This video made it so much easier for me thank you
Wow. A 50's restaurant? that sounds cool! I'm pleased to hear that the video has made it easier to style your hair for work.
I'm a man, and i love theese hairstyles on women.
I'm a lesbian, and i love these hairstyles on women.
Nice. Enjoyed how easy you make it look

brola nola welcome to 2019
I'm working at a big vintage fest next weekend and these look perfect to do quickly to fit in with the crowd before I go!
Thank you for this video. I love retro styles but when younger never bothered to learn about fixing my hair. It’s great to learn what to do without feeling talked down to.
This video is a godsend. I have wanted to try pin up styles for ages, but I am pretty hopeless at styling my hair. I was able to rock a cute and easy do thanks to you at a recent baby shower.
Thank you so much for this video! I have long hair and always want to cut it bc I never know what to do with it!!! I got so many compliments when I used some of the fringes you had in your video. Since I am still a novice, your videos were perfect! Still practicing a proper victory roll! Great job showing us all how to do it ourselves!
Thank you Leia, that's great to hear xx
I have a possibly silly question. I love the pin up style so much but in every video I see most girls have medium hair or hair that is layered so my question is can I still get the pin up look with my hair being very long (to my waist) and it's all one length? Also my hair takes forever to curl do you have any suggestions for that?? Thanks so much love your vids they are very helpful!! =)
I second that. My hair is very long. I have the same questions.
your arms must be exhausted afterwards...
My daughter has 1950's day at school. This tutorial is so very helpful. Thank you!
Excellent for a newbie like me. I've never spent time on my hair but I KNOW I can do these! Thanks!!
Thank you!!! you just saved my life, I have a 1950s party to go to tonight and I had no idea what to do with my hair, video is brilliant!
Valentina Bilò Brilliant! That's great to hear - thank you x
Love this video! It's so hard to find a tutorial for beginners that are REALLY beginners.
5:40 I'm mind-blown. One of my friends always gets this exact same up-do every single time on a new years eve event where stylists do your hair. we thought we could never pull that off but you make it look so easy. She said she likes this hairstyle allot and that she wishes she could do it her self so maybe she will when I show her this.
My fave is always the victory curl or as you put it the rip curl. I find it so gorgeous!
Thank you. These were helpful and easy! I love looks that look cute while being easy to do on myself.
I have a vintage event coming up, so this helps a lot!
It's harder than it looks 😕
best and easiest tutorials for the pinup look I've found. thanks so much! all looks great!
thank you thank you thank you!!!!!! Been feeling extra frumpy after baby 4- no time, no clothes that fit etc- inspired by the first and last stykes which seem pretty quick and easy- no excuses!!!!
Taking Flight Theatre Company I know how that feels! This video was filmed shortly after my 4th baby. It takes time but you'll be back to your old self in no time - promise! Yeah, definitely the pomp is the BEST. xx
Tomorrow is decade day at school and I needed this to help me with my hairstyle. I'm going to be using this!
I am first timer with rolls and curls & vintage look, so this was so easy to follow And actually do it! Thank you so much!
thank you! I'm really pleased you were able to follow ❤
Thank god for you!! I'm AWFUL with a curling iron and your quick tutorials seem like something i could really manage to do! You're too cute! Love your accent. Thanks again!
I could listen to you talk all day, lovely voice. And amazing video!
Going to a Hollywood glam girls night for Valentine's and this was super helpful, thanks!
Love it! I'm not sick of your voice at all. Thanks!
Quick and easy styles!! Just what I was looking for with little time and 2 kids and 1 on the way. Thanks!!
So cute! Thanks for the easy ideas! The pompadour is my go-to, but I like the idea of adding the sides.
When your hear pin up hair styles or diy I usually feel intimidated this really opened my eyes to practicing and perfecting more complicated styles!!
I’m so glad!
Brilliant! I have been looking for quick and easy pin-up styles. All of these are quick, thoroughly explained, and easy. Thank you!!
Glad to hear it! Thank you for taking the time to comment
Oh wow, I’m really late, these comments are from 7 years ago haha-
anyways, this video is super helpful! My school is doing a big “back to the future” Shakespeare style play. This video will definitely help me and my fellow makeup and hair crew to do those vintage hairstyles! I definitely think we’ll use this! Thanks💕
I love LOVE your videos! This is my go to tutorial every time I want to do my hair “pinup” style
loooove this...we're throwing a surprise 50's theme party for my mom. it really helped us!!! :)
Thank you so much!! We are now having fun "being vintage". Loved loved loved the video.
really helpful video! I haven't found any other video that's been able to help me like this one! and you really help us girls that no nothing at all.
well done baby . been searching for a simple guide to getting the quiff. I have no fringe so thought this would make it look less severe. cheers
These hairstyles are super adorable!! 😃
+ZombieChick Glad you like them! Thank you for commenting x
Amazing video!! It was so helpful and all the styles look easy enough to do...I love the 1st style!! I wasn't exactly sure how to do it but after watching your video I think I can do it myself...Thank you for sharing!! I am looking for more of your videos to watch and like👏👍.
I just watched this video because I was intersted in it! This Vintage Look is absolutly not my personal style but I love this 'Victory roll' (or how you clled it?) It looks amazing! Thank you and it's super easy to handle!!
Can't imagine why all the thumbs down, you did a great job explaining. The fake victory roll was the only one I didn't get immediately, but hey, we can watch it again!
ahhhh, thanks. you can't even start to guess why people thumbs down videos. some don't like my hair, some don't like my voice, my style, my nail varnish, my face - lol. unless there's a comment to constructively criticise there is nothing I can do. I have to ignore. thank you for your comment. I'm glad you like the video xx
i love the first style!! i'm going for a vintage look for prom so these helped give me ideas!
Have a wonderful time at your prom. I'm sure you'll look amazing!
Vintage hairstyles I have some hope of actually doing. Thank you!
Brilliant news, once you have got these methods down pat you will realise that even the more intricate ones are relatively easy to do xx
This helped me decide what hairstyle to do for my modeling photos and how to do it so mow I don't need to pay. Dear lord thank you!! That Rosie the riviter one is what I am going for thank you!!!!!
Thank you! I love the vintage hairstyles and have never been able to find useful instructions on recreating them. Wonderful video! I've just subscribed to your channel.
So awesome! I am going to try one of these styles for a party i have to go to this weekend...thanks!
Great help. Got a couple of vintage craft fairs coming up so I'm practicing these now.x
Thank you for showing easy howyou can get the hairstyles. Are going to Power meet this year. Where you are camping so no bathroom to stand in hours fixing your hair. So easy to set up in the way you showed. Thank now I am all ready :D
thank you so much for this video! I am horrible at styling my hair and even I managed something decently pretty thanks to you.
Wonderful! I really need a pick-me-up in my life so even though I'm "of a certain age," I'll be a senior citizen pinup girl, LOL.
Brilliant! Thanks so much! Easy to follow instructions that produced gorgeous locks!!
LOVELY xx very helpfull even for shortish hair. I will try this when i go to my greasers ceroc party next week. I am confident to have a go now as you made it look so easy. Thanks.

My niece turns 5 today and wanted something other than a bun or ponytail. I'm going to surprise her w/ her 1st barrel roll but I adore how you use your fingers instead of a curling iron hah my hair is damaged enough and I'd like to have my Allycat avoid it for as long as possible.
I'm completely inept with my hair! I've been looking for a good tutorial that gives me easy options for a 1950's murder mystery dinner and yours is the best! So many are way more difficult than I want to attempt right now. These look great and I think I can manage them! Thank you!
this is exactly what i needed im going to be doing a 50s mashup dance and this is easy to do between numbers so thank you! :) youre very beautiful btw

Hi, I’m new here, you have a great personality, hence why I’ve subscribed to you in the sea of vintage hair tutorials x
Hi! Thank you very much, I appreciate it.
@@FitfullyVintage thank you. I wondered if you would be so kind as to do a pin up tutorial on someone with thin hair (maybe on a friend) to add volume? I know you have lovely thick hair, but I personally find it very difficult with having finer hair . Thank you X
