  • It's mainly about the front section of your hair in this video, but then some about the sides, some about accessories, some about the back, okay, so its about all of your hair BUT whatever, the styles are easily acheiveable, require little skill ad are uber quick to do. I think, and hey, it's only my opinion but, I think they give an INSTANT pin up look. So, if you are just trying out a new pin up or vintage look and are still trying to get to grips with the, let's face it, relatively complicated hairstyling then this might be the video for you.

      I know, right? I will not name names but some of the other RUclipsrs who do similar videos really are full of themselves and seem to be more interested in showing off than in helping others. Also, the fact that Natalie is so positive and doesn't care about perfection really makes these styles seem feasible enough that we actually try rather than get mad over not being naturally equipped for it. Someone else on RUclips does a bumper bang tutorial where she undoes an impressive looking bumper and does it all over again because it isn't movie star perfect. 🙄 I don't think women in the 50s spent an hour each day on their hair given that they needed more time to get things done for lack of technology, restricted business hours and lack of home delivery services. Rosie didn't have time to fuss around with her hair, she had riveting to get done.

    I am a school teacher and at the end of the day, I catch a glimpse of myself in the mirror and wonder how my elementary students have not run off screaming in horror. Your video has helped me look forward to the next school year without being worried about frightening the children. I have always adored the 1940s styles, as my mother was a young woman during that era and her pictures are amazing! What a lovely era for hair. Thank you so much!

    • @FitfullyVintage
      @FitfullyVintage  8 лет назад +5

      I totally understand! I think these styles are perfect for you. Quick to do in the morning and there's no need to faff around with them during the day so you won't have to worry about them falling out or feeling unsecured. AND, they aren't too 'out there' in terms of style. no one's going to stare at you for being outlandish which is great for work. thank you for your comment xx

      @mu.l.9018 5 лет назад +6

      OMG Please don't say something like that, you are a gorgeous woman no matter how you style yourself, you'd look lovely in any way, your students will not feel scared of you at all!

    • @versatyle253
      @versatyle253 5 лет назад +3

      Heck, you could even go so far as to do your hair in the styles of the era that your lessons are being taught about! Granted, this might only work if you are a history teacher, or School younger people and have to cover all the subject matter. Either way, just some food for thought! Plus, a little history lesson never hurt anybody.

    I subscribed yesterday, and all I can do is say is a Huge, Thank You. I have hair well below the breast area, just started thinking how I would love to wear a Gibson Girl. I stated to research the subject and came up with lots of info, and I watched quite a number of videos , but came back to yours because it was so user friendly, simplistic and at the same time found it to be elegantly sophisticated. Your approach is warm and welcoming. Hoping to have a smashing roll up by Sunday. Again, Thanks from NC.

    I have a possibly silly question. I love the pin up style so much but in every video I see most girls have medium hair or hair that is layered so my question is can I still get the pin up look with my hair being very long (to my waist) and it's all one length? Also my hair takes forever to curl do you have any suggestions for that?? Thanks so much love your vids they are very helpful!! =)

    5:40 I'm mind-blown. One of my friends always gets this exact same up-do every single time on a new years eve event where stylists do your hair. we thought we could never pull that off but you make it look so easy. She said she likes this hairstyle allot and that she wishes she could do it her self so maybe she will when I show her this.

    Sooo pretty. :-) And it looks so easy when you're doing it. You'll still hear me swear badly in the bath I suppose.

      @@FitfullyVintage thank you. I wondered if you would be so kind as to do a pin up tutorial on someone with thin hair (maybe on a friend) to add volume? I know you have lovely thick hair, but I personally find it very difficult with having finer hair . Thank you X
