Never in my whole fucking life has a bass made me sob from how filthy it was, this video was the definitive reason as to why i will purchase a hyperboom!
Bigger is not better .The size and portability is great , but I wish it had a removable protection jimmy. So I can just throw it in the back with my luggage and don't have to worry about it getting ding up. I've had mine for 2 years and it's holding up pretty good. I think it's designed just to leave it as a home speaker tho. I take mine every time when we're at an Air bnb and bar bqs and everyone is impressed buy the quality of sound this lil box can produce. I come from a DJ background so I know sound. And the hassle of dragging to much equipment. One good tip is to find a empty corner and raise speaker to ear level. Only thing is I need a another one to pair too. But I also wonder if you can link 4 together tho? Yeah let's add a sub for over kill while we're at it. I also gotta hook up Alexa to it too.
I still use mine all the time it's one if my favorites and has held up pretty dang good, but yes there is for sure a few things I would change with it if i could, how's yours holding up these days
i like the hyperboom in some ways likes its hard hitting bass and the fact that it does not compress much at max volume. but its -6db roll off on bass performance is 55hz. thats not very good. i used to own one. the boombox 3's -6db roll off is 46hz which still not great but its better. however the boombox 3 has mediocre bass punch its mostly just low to mid bass rumble and it has more compression at max but i will always prefer deeper bass. from 59hz to 75hz the hyperboom blows away the boombox 3. its all about tuning preference, the bass frequency range on the boombox 3 is a bit narrow. its only got bass between 46 and 65hz than again at 90hz and above. i own a boombox 3 and its a good speaker but it really needs more mid bass kick. this is why i bought a Phantom 2. bass down to 18hz and very hard hitting bass throughout the whole bass frequency range. it can do deep bass very well and chest thumping bass when you ask for it. but its ac power only and quite expensive.
I agree 💯 the boombox 3 is great but really for low bass and rumble, I wish they would have given It more upper bass as well but that's for sure where the hyperboom comes in and stomps the competition with
@Jagist reviews Sony srs xg500 actually matches the hyperboom in bass between 62 and 74hz but below that the xg500 actually goes deeper rolling off at -6db at 49hz. Both have a peak at 62hz but the xg500 beak is a slighter more. I am going off a frequency graph comparison on rtings speaker reviews. You can click a review. You can view three reviews if your jot a member and if you click the frequency response graph you have the ability to compare 100s of speakers to each other. Sony xg500 past 2k hz falls off rapidly while the hyperboom is nice and flat. The Sony will sound much warmer which will accentuate the bass even more. Hyperboom still probably the better buy.
@MrEmaxxfreak you can lay it down so a passive radiator is shouting down with the handle holding it up slightly but it won't give you stero sound like that
Ive got one trust me its fucking awesome used it as a back up speaker at a house rave outside even outdoors its mental only one problem ive had sometimes it takes 2 attemps to turn on it will flash on then go off wait 15 seconds turn it on again and it stays on although this doesnt happen when its plugged into power could be a software issue nit sure but its still under warranty so can always get another one
It's seriously one of three best speakers I own to this day, it's a bad ass speaker and I love mine so much!!! I haven't had the powering on issue that you are having if it's covered under warranty then I would for sure switch it out, if not hopefully it doesn't happen very often for you
I have a w king d9-1 and it literally shakes my room lol but Whats the most bass powered speaker for £99 and then £150 and then £200 and then I guess above. Basically I’m about that bass you can feel through you and shakes the floor rather than deep sounding lol. If I put the d9 on my bed for example It hella shakes. There’s only a few speakers I know of to try. Tribit, anker motion boom plus, Amazon studio 2020 with 5 Dolby speakers, jbl bookbinder and one called abramtek e600. So far i have tired the w king d9-1 and one called dockin dfine. If you put either of these next to you on the couch you can feel it shake which is what I want more than deep sounding bass but more bass you can feel lol. Do you know if these are the best ones or if theres another even better? or maybe even if it has to be plugged in and its not portable as a last resort since they are normally cheaper?
Honestly If you want to kill it with bass go with a jbl partybox 110, 310, 710, or the 1000 they are loud and bass heavy, they are pretty expensive though, if you don't have a lot of money get the tribit stormbox blast it's loud and bassy, abbs cheap like 200$ or less, I'm buying the wking t11 right now and jbl boombox 3 so I'll be testing those out in a day and putting videos out for you guys!!! Their x10 is suppose to be 70w super bass but yet the d9 is way bette ras i have both lol.... Not sure if ill find a speaker that will beat it. Maybe if i spend £190+ then maybe but for the size its insane
I wonder if it is possible to remove the active radiator to a different one that can handle deeper bass or it is possible to tweek the crossover filter to allow for deeper bass. Have you tried any of that?
I honestly haven't tried any of that, you would need to make it so the speaker itself played lower notes instead of dropping off around 40 hertz, I think it could do it no problem if it was programmed to play lower but they made it so it can't

It could be that the radiators cant handle it in the higher volumes, but at the same time UE could have removed the lowest bass at higher volums while retaining the low bass at lower volumes. Hope they can do something like that in the next generation of this speaker(if any).
What Portable speaker has the best ( surface shaking ) bass, NOT sounding bass. For example. I have the original dockin d fine. If I put this on the bed even at low volume it vibrates the bed!!! It’s crazy good. I have a jbl extreme and even that don’t shake the bed. I have a PartyBox 110 at max volume that has better SOUND bass but the dockin even still beats that because it shakes the bed at any volume. Is there any speaker that beats the dockin if it is placed on the bed or a couch and you can feel the bass Not hear the bass if you get me?? I was lookin at a mini rig subwoofer but idk if that’s good either. Could you try this test? Put it on the bed, lay on the bed, see what speaker shakes the most lol.
Not going to lie to you my braven xxl 2 shakes the shit out of anything I put it on, I can't have it on my desk because everything shakes off of it due to the braven xxl 2 down firing subwoofer, it's about as loud bass wise as the jbl boombox 2 which is impressive but if you want something that's going to shake stuff you put it on like your bed the braven xxl 2 or even the monster blaster 3.0 due to there down firing subs, they are not as bass heavy as the partybox 110 but they shake everything around them and your bed ect

@ASPWLF GAMING party box 110 is hard to beat but like i said the braven xxl2 and monster blaster are amazing for shaking stuff cause the subwoofer and passive radiators on the bottom firing down

Honestly that's a hard choice, I like the sound of the hyperboom better and it doesn't loose bass as you turn it up past 80 percent like the tribit does, but the tribit is fully water proof and goes deeper in the bass then the hyperboom
How good is this for a soundbar? Also is this louder than the echo studio? I love speakers Have a Samsung tower speaker 1500 WATTS RMS Google home max when it came out Echo studio But I need a speaker for my TV
Yes this would work great as sound bar for your TV and has an optical cable in on it so that's awesome, it's louder than an echo studio, it's volume is in the same category as the jbl boombox 2 and jbl partybox 100

It's a passive radiator for lower bass response, it's driven by the main woofers on it, it's really cool they are just super large on the hyperboom and I love that
