- On our second day in St. Bernard Parrish, La, we went crabbing with Jared Serigne from @OutsidetheLevees instead of using the traditional crab trap, we tried our luck using little Crab nets! I was totally blown away at what happened next!!!

just a quick tip from a Maryland boy if you put your weight underneath the net and a small cork where the 3 lines meet above the net the crabs wont walk on top of the line and you wont flip any of them out when you pull it up off the bottom

I love the fact that you respect nature you teach others and you pray to God that for your catch, and that you always always love it. I'm trying to teach my grandchildren about nature and I introduced them to your channel so now they're watching your shows. My 3-year-old grandson said their day deer meat price before dinner why don't we. And I told him we do but because what his grandparents house we respect their wishes and we pray the way they pray. And he absolutely loved it

I live in Pasadena Texas. I love to use lemon pepper chicken and when I go crabbing, I always get the good size crabs, jumbo blue crabs try it one day

Rob while you’re in Louisiana you need to try Slap Ya Mama Cajun seasoning! It goes great on fish, potatoes, chicken, etc.

The best crabbing I ever did was with warm sausage dogs and hot dogs. The crabs were bored of the turkey and chicken and salmon. Sometimes you just got to change it up and cheeper might be better.

Whenever you're trying to catch crabs always use chicken. They LOVE chicken
Best crab bait EVER is chicken necks . Ask anyone who knows crabs , best if left out in the sun for a few hours , in the summertime that is . BLUE crab refers to the BLUE on their claws . Make sure you cook them live . Old Bay and steamed in beer is the best way to cook them

Can’t catch crab this time of year? I was always told the best time to catch crab is in a month ending in R. But, I do prefer the Dungeness on the West Coast.

We just left hopedale area after visiting the marsh and catching some specs and reds. The St. Bernard area is incredible. Great stuff as usual Rob keep it up
Florida and Louisiana are so similar in alot of ways I have to say Florida got them city swamp boys
I grew up on blue crabs caught on chicken thighs. I also only eat them when the shell is removed & it’s cleaned properly. I can’t wait to try the traps you deployed.

Gotta say it Rob there's always some good eating in just about all your videos with good people. Can't get no better than that brother. I use to have a few crab traps like that. Used them a lot in the Marsh areas where I grew up in the Brooklyn N.Y and then also along the Jersy coast from the mouth of the NYC harbor down to the Delaware Bay all a long the New Jersey coastline and in Brooklyn. Alot of people don't realize just how good of fishing, crabing and even claiming and lobstering can be along the shores of. Long Island Brooklyn, Queens and the New Jersey coast. And that's just the ocean side. You still have the Long Island sound also. Starting from Hells gate on the east river right next to Manhattan into the Bronx and out into the Long Island sound. Its a hidden treasure all around one of the biggest cities in the world that most people never know about who live there. That's where I learned to fish as a young boy. Learned to swim working on my grandfather's bait barge in Garrison Beach in Brooklyn. Also worked as a mate and then a captain on his and my grand uncles party fishing boats. Plus going to Norway where my other half of the family is from working on my other grandfather's fishing boats. Haven't been able to get out on the ocean in a while because of health issues but hoping that the health problems will come to a end. Because once that happens I'm on my way back to Florida brother.
