- This is an amazing knife that is worth its high price tag. It is made to be a fighting blade, and up to this point I have not seen another blade that matches its capabilities unless it is a fixed blade. I would recommend this blade to anyone. This knife can give you life saving options and could save your life or the life of a loved one.

I like my cs coyote tan espada with its blackened cts xhp blade. I bought it when they first came out. I didnt even realize it until reading a comment today they were limited and you cannot get them anymore. What a beautiful blade.
I sold mine about three years ago, regretted it ever since, so I just ordered another one. Your lanyard mod is outstanding.
The Espada (I carry the large) is IMHO the BEST tactical folder ever made. It fulfills all attributes a combat knife should have.
- Deployment. Fast, instant deployment due to pocket catch (L and XL only)
- Grip. Two grip options, hereby extending reach.
- Size. A good fighting knife should have at least a 5 inch blade for reach, slashing and stabbing power.
- Steel. AUS8 and Carpenter are decent for its purpose.
- Sharpness. Cold Steel hollow grinds their knives to a razor sharp edge.
- Locking mechanism. Cold Steels proprietary Triad lock is superb and never fails.
I literally just ordered mine and was expecting it to be around the same size as the spartan that I already own, holy crap

Hey to open it outta your pocket does it automatically open or do you have to move it a certain way for it to catch?

Awesome Video Knifeguy. I just recently got the medium as I can't legally carry anything over 4 inches in IL. Great knife so I know what youre saying. Soemday I want the XL just to have it:)

@jonthamo The Espada is still under the $200 dollar price point and for what it is that is cheep. If it were to be made out of vg10 or something it would be over $400 dollars. I for one love what Cold Steel does making there knives good but at a great price.
I think its better than the XL espada good size for folding knife

+NoirPooperBR Its unpainted so wear wouldnt effect it, in fact there is no wear for unpainted knives.

Just a quick help for those looking for a large 'espada'. I just bought me and a friend one each from amazon.com. theu are selling them thru amazon at about $67 for the large and 50 something for the medium. Havemt had mine a day yet and I already love it and have hurt myself with it. Be very careful if u get one. I didnt know I was stabbed until I looked for the wound.

i have one i pulled it out and i cut myself without noticing until my hand was covered in blood thats how sharp the knife is.

I have recon 1 XL and is amazing knife for 110$ canadian dollar (75$ us) espada L or XL are too expansive...

This looks like a larger version of the Falchion Knife from the game Counter Strike: Global offensive.
