Hi. I just found you, and I’m binge watching. I’m trying to learn. I’m currently making my own vitamin c serum. I have melasma caused by hormonal issues bc of endocrine disrupters in products. I’m trying to learn to do my own chemical free products. However, I do realize that the product needs to be used quickly if there’s no preservatives. I would like to add a natural preservative. What would you recommend? Here’s the recipe I’m following: GloryB-TV DIY Viramin C Serum with Ferulic Acid video’s recipe. 20% viramin C serum ( 1/5 of solution is vitamin C powder) Part1. 1/2 teaspoon of ascorbic acid Part 2. 1/2 teaspoon glycerin Part 3 & 4 2 of the 1/2 teaspoons) 1 teaspoon distilled water ( I used rose water) Part 5. The 1/2 teaspoon is split up. 1/4 teaspoon distilled water 1/8 teaspoon vitamin E oil ( it was like 8 drops) 1/8 teaspoon ferulic acid Dissolve the ferulic acid in Vodka or Witch hazel. Put just enough to liquify it. I used about 3 droppers of witch hazel. Kojic Heat mixed rose water and ferulic acid solution to 104 degrees F, not above ( 40 C) that’s what it says to activate kojic acid to be used ( 1 part kojic to 6 parts water)
Wow thank you so much Have been wondering the preservatives i will put in my shea butter Thanks a lot i do not need preservatives even though i want to sell it right?
@@OceNatural are you using the Leucidal sf complete and optiphen together or are they sufficient separately? Hi, i want to make natural homemade shampoo for selling purpose . Please let me know what preservative is good for that? And the ratio also. I did some research about sodium benzoate and ordered from Amazon but still want to know something better than that . Please explain also about sodium benzoate how can i add that in shampoo and the ratio Please. Thankyou
Please do your research regarding niacinamide serum and preserving it . Everyone reacts differently to preservatives . Liquid Germall plus is broad spectrum preservative but it’s not a natural preservative . I wouldn’t be able to tell you if it causes any side effects.
Hi! You are welcome . Yes you can but pay attention to the ph. Black soap has a high ph range. Both preservatives you mentioned only go as high as 8 so be sure to check the Ph level of your black soap before adding the preservative
I make DIY products at home for personal use only but want to add a preservative to reduce number of time I make batches. How would I know when and how to test the PH if I bought germasol or optiohen? Also which PH meter do you use? Please link in reply. Thanks so much.
@@simplyb.8959 I am not too familiar with water based products in lip glosses. Usually they are oil based and not needing a preservative. I would suggest looking into preservatives like Phenonip, and Optiphen but definitely do some more research on that.

How many tea spoons or table spoons is enough when using preservatives pls
Hello please follow the manufacturer guidelines . Every preservative has a different amount to use in your product .
It's done in grams not teaspoons or tablespoons. You can google the conversion of tbsp into grams etc.
Now girl where exactly could I buy them? Are there specific stores that sell these near home ????
Please check the description box

The preservatives mentioned in this video can be used for hair and skincare .
What happens if I use too much germall plus in my soap
You always want to follow the correct usage rate for any preservative you are using
0.5percent is how many grams
You convert that in grams depending on your batch size
