Pewen Mapu Kimun (English trailer)

This film provides a visual metaphor between water and knowledge, a reflection to look at nature and its eternal wisdom.
It is a contemplative testimonial, with sequences of mountains, forests and water reserves of the Pewenche territory (Chile).
The natural landscapes are accompanied by stories narrated in "che dungun", by people who make identity economic activities associated with tourism and the creative industry.
"Pewen" is the ancestral name of the araucaria, a sacred tree that has allowed the subsistence of the Mapuche-Pewenche people that still live between Chile and Argentina.
"Mapu" is the earth or mother nature: the ecosystem that houses all forms of life.
"Kimün" is used to talk about the knowledge or wisdom accumulated by that particular land: its practices of preservation of biodiversity, healthy eating and deep spirituality.
