      How many games did Belichick win last year to get him the 3rd pick in the draft ??
      BB is 72 yrs old, yes he has lots of experience and SBs but I don't want him or Shanahan who is rumored to be out at the end of the season.
      I'd take Ben Johnson to run the Bears offense or maybe T Brown if he keeps calling games like last wks Packers game, with 4 day preparation.
      TB reminds me of Tomlin with his kick ass attitude towards football.
      That's what this team needs !

      All in on Eberflus's out.
      And he can take his Oline coach
      Cris Morgan + Special teams coach Hightower with him.
      2 lost games in 2 weeks from blocked game winning field goals is ridiculous.
      T Brown should stay, but if there's a better OC out there in 2025 like Ben Johnson, then fine.

    He's a defensive coach. The offense was Brady+Josh McDaniels. His offense wasn't too hot after those two left New England. Argue all you want, he's a defensive minded coach.
    He's also not going to be coaching very long. Probably 3 or 4 years tops. He's not the long term coach the Bears need.
    On the plus side, his press conferences for the Bears would be hilarious. After a loss to Green Bay "We're on to Minnesota". I'd die laughing.

      Belichick is a cheater and a thug. If you wanna root for cheaters and thugs, then go root for the Patriots (as their system is still corrupt, they're the only team who ever drafted a murderer), or forget football and root for the Yankees and the Astros, teams whose franchise records would be REVERSED in the W/L tally had it not been for both systemic corruption and the entire team, from the owner on down, cheating whenever possible. The Bears lose a fan in me if they hire that thug.

      After three off seasons, the Bears still have not improved. Just look at their win/loss record since Poles took over. The rest of the NFC North has stayed competitive or even gotten better, except for the Bears. How many more OCs are they going to go thru since Poles or how many more o-linemen musical chairs will they play? You can argue that Bears look better on paper. But wins/loss is what matters and that's played on the field. This isn't fantasy football.

    • @DougVanDorn
      @DougVanDorn 5 дней назад

      @@JackF0372 When you accept the job of head coach on a team that is tearing down, getting rid of ALL of its decent players, and then rebuilding with an almost 100% player turnover in three years, the only thing you can fault the coach on is ever worrying about his W/L record. HE WAS HIRED TO LOSE for two seasons. Poles built the roster by tanking for two years. There are a ton of things you can talk about, in regards to 'Flus, but the W/L for the '22 and '23 seasons DOES NOT COUNT. He was BEING PAID TO COME IN WITH LOSINGS SEASONS for those years. If you are hired to bring in a given outcome, and you do it, you've done a good job for your employer. I can argue that 'Flus' record should begin to be considered starting this season, as it's the first year of his stint as Bears HC the actual talent on the field is good enough to win. But as for your concern that only 'Flus' job is in jeopardy, the idea is that Poles may not be willing to fire 'Flus. If that's the case, then Warren may have to fire them both. My question then is, would Ian Cunningham accept the job, after his best friend is fired from it? Because if the Bears restart the whole break-it-down-and-rebuild with ANOTHER GM, then this team might as well dissolve and let Ginny M. live out her remaining year(s) of life counting all the money she gets from selling them.

    IMO, Belichick is not a good candidate. His first head coaching gig ended miserably with the then Cleveland Browns. His next head coaching job with the Jets lasted one day when he decided to take the Patriots head coaching gig. He did well with Patriots only because of Tom Brady. After Brady left NE, what did Belichick do? Nothing. Absolutely nothing! Also, if he was such great HC, why didn't other teams pick him up when there are so many teams out there now needing a HC? Poles had a chance to get Ben Johnson last off season but he fell asleep at the wheel by deciding to keep Eberflus. This off season, Johnson will be a hot commodity and other teams are willing to shell out the money for his services. The Bears with their history of being cheap may not be able to compete for Johnson. Although I'm still keeping my fingers crossed for Ben Johnson to Bears.

    Bellichick actually might be the coach this team needs but I don't want josh McDaniel as the oc. Would rather have bill O'brien if that's the case.
    The main emphasis on the next head coaching staff has to be giving the solid foundation for caleb to reach his full potential.
    It's optimal that we find a hc that will be attached to calebs hip. Ben Johnson is my choice but he doesn't want to come here because of the dysfunctionality of the mccaskeys.
    Not sure if top tier candidates would even want to come here as well. I'm sure they question the leadership of the organization and whether they would be allowed to be a powerful component of the franchise as opposed to a coach with who prefers the background.
    Mccaskeys are on the cusp of redeeming themselves but only if they make the right moves and set aside their pride and ego and their reluctantance tonspend money on a formidable staff. If they don't caleb will be gone as soon as his rookie contract is done. Let poles pick his guy this time without having to run it by the mccaskeys.

    Aye' Wassup Nic 👍🏾👍🏾 my man l agree with you Bill Belichick has very very impressive winning record & Championship to back it up, I say 👑 Ryan Poles & lan Cunningham need to be on the phone with this man setting the stage up introducing our Next Head Coach" which that is Bill Belichick" 1. Bill Belichick 2. Eric Bieniemy 3. Ben Johnson 4. Jon Chucky Gruden 5. Kyle Shanahan" 6. Mike Vrabel 7.Rex Ryan

      Did y'all ever LISTEN to Gruden when he did his "Gruden's Grinder" segments on MNF? Almost every single time, he'd make a statement that boiled down to ":At least the Bears are crap, and always will be." One of the MNF announcers even challenged him on his Bears hatred once, and he admitted he hated the Bears with a passion, and one of his core beliefs is that the Bears are and always will be a laughingstock. And that, no matter what, he would NEVER have a good word for them. He NEEDS them to be a laughingstock, for his world to make any sense. If he took a job here. his hatred is SO overwhelming, he would do it ONLY to run the team into the ground SO badly that it will take 20 years to have a winning season again. He's not a sane man, and would do it just because he thinks the world MUST have a Bears team that ALWAYS sucks. Hire him? I'd as soon watch him get pushed off a train platform into the path of a speeding locomoti8ve.

    True Belichick w/o Brady just so so. Belichick and Williams? Could be the second coming. And, he's much better than Flus on the defensive side. Just concerned about his age.

    Does he run a 4-3 or a 3-4?

    • @DougVanDorn
      @DougVanDorn 5 дней назад

      3-4, meaning he'd want to tear the defense completely down and acquire all new players to run HIS defense. Another three to five years of a total rebuild? I'd sooner give up the NFL and watch LaCrosse.

    I don’t think it would be wise. I’d prefer a young head coach to pair up with the young roster, preferably someone offensive minded, but in reality as long as we get a coach that can turn us around whoever that may be I’d prefer not Bill Belichick.

    This stinks of a BS rumor but it's fun to dream. If Bill comes back, the McCaskeys better not cheap out and offer him 5 million more than any other team offers. Cut him a check for 35-40 million a year and let him turnn this franchise into an offensive powerhouse.

    With Bill being the head coach and Thomas Brown being the offensive line I could see the Bears winning 2 to 3 superbowls over the course of the next 10 years with the current talent they have now. As of now I want the bears to lose so Eberflus gets fired. This year is already a bust.

    Hell no. People can all him the GOAT but we saw what he did without Brady. Then we saw what he did to Mac Jones. We do not want him in charge of developing Caleb. It's time the Bears get an offensive mind as well. We don't need another defensive head coach.
