Super informative. Never knew how this applied to lower back. I barely used that equipment but now I'll go play around with it. Thank Joe!
It so obvious but easy to forget and miss at the same time. Thankyou Joe👏👏👏
No these videos are seriously great!! I love the picking a part even basic exercises and learning more about them and how I can perform them better to see my own improvements because hey that’s what this is all about! IMPROVING 🤩🙌🏻🙌🏻

Excellent video! Going to try the higher hip pad to get some erector action as a deadlift accessory in my next training block!

Thank you! No one has ever explained this to me. Keep up the good work

Amazing!!!
I took away an actual piece of info that I’m going to implement. I didn’t know about pad high/low. That’s awesome thanks
Superb video Coach. I dont see why we need graphics TBH. You bring forwards your content so well by simple drawings. Looking forward to many more such videos. Super Super stuff!!

Awesome!
you’re a 24h late, wanted to use the back extension machine for my hams yesterday but then I didn’t bother missing with it and end up training my lower back xD
Great video man, the quality is absolutely awesome, keep it up!
Thank you
Great 💯
What are your thoughts on doing this exercise with an Olympic bar and plates with a wide grip? I see it as both an upper and low back builder hitting the upper back and erectors. Also could be done for glute and hams. Both versions from a dead stop.
Great info Joe! Quick question: when targeting the lower back, is rounding your back to go down still safe when you start adding weights?
Hey Joe, not sure if you answer questions on YT but it's worth a shot.
What is your preferred way of adding external load to a Hyperextension in order to progressively overload? DB's in the hands, plate across the chest, bar on the back (Dorian style)?
DBs or barbel in hand. (Mainly for semantics). Barbell on the back is perfectly fine, just a pain to get in place with more load
Criminally undersubbed channel
Any recommendations on where to get a good back extension or Roman chair for a home gym?
Roll out that update on the app coach.
28th👌
Hey just watched your video on splits and would like to ask you when you mention ppl do you mean ppl ppl rest or ppl rest repeat
Any suggestions for patella tendonitis? I've been studying up....
Thank you!
Side question: what's that cross-shaped "bench" in the background? The one that's kind of standing up?
Pretty sure that’s for curls
What is that bench for behind the white board??
thx for another very useful video. do you think its possible to build decent size hams with extensions and sitting band leg curls?
Extension more so than band curls
@@HypertrophyCoach thx i will try loading them
@@HypertrophyCoach if i can ask one more question: i have a sled, do you have a hypertrophy protocol for sled work?
Wish you would keep more to the app instead of sharing it free online..
That blue/teal Marker was kinda hard to see
I’ll use darker next go
What's your opinion on Mcgills work? He doesnt recommend rounding the spine at all when your training. I do understand he is talking about core/spinal stability and not in hypertrophy terms.
I was scrolling through the comments and saw yours. I'm glad someone else had the same thought about rounding the back. I think it's a very bad idea. I have never seen anyone perform a back extension with rounded back like that...
So what’s the point? Wich one f the two should be done?🤔🤔
The point is based on what muscles you want to target you can do either back ext or hip ext on one machine by adjusting pad height. One is lower back focused and the other is hamstring/glute focused.
the audio sounds weird. lots of echo
Maybe being he’s in a large room, maybe a gym where there are a lot of hard surfaces, maybe iron and mirrors, which don’t absorbs the sound so easily.
Please get a mic bro, maybe you have one by now.
Nerd! Jk ,thanks ginger face. I listen.
I hope this comment drives the algorithm to guide people to you so you can get more of those sweet RUclips dollars and continue to pay George Lucas.
😂🙏🙏🙏
Thank you
