We had to record this one after such a scintillating race! Not the result we wanted but we'll take it next time. Enjoy and share your thoughts in the comments. I'm sure we missed some points!
If you notice, Noahs foot is also closer to his body, his foot is behind the line but it's close to him. Kishanes foot is further out. So when it comes to leaning, it's easy at this moment for Noah to lean.
These are apparently the rules they followed "If there is a tie for any ranking position under Rule 20.3.2 of the Technical Rules, the Chief Photo Finish Judge shall consider the actual times recorded by the athletes to 0.001 second and if it is equal, it shall be determined to be a tie and lots shall be drawn to determine the higher ranking position." this is the rule they are applying to the 100m final, it was handed over to the photo finish judge and Noah ran faster down to the 1000th of a second 0.005
@TheYAADMANPodcast think about this objectively. The time when medals are shared in the sprints is when the times are equal down to the thousandth of a second, the example I think of is 2008 when the women both ran 10.980 and tied for silver. Last year, there were no medals shared in the men's 100m World Champs final, although 2nd through 4th place all ran 9.88 their times we not equal down to the thousandth of a second so there were no medals shared, the same thing this year with Noah and Kishane, Noah ran a faster time down to the 1000th of a second so he gets the Gold medal and Kishane the Silver.
A very interesting race. One in countless. Kishane led all the way until the very last push to the finishing line! Only one of his legs was an inch in front of Noah but Kerley's leg was clearly in front of all if their legs were taken into consideration and the positions will be reverted among the top three. Unfortunately the rule says differently. Noah was not only fortunate but experienced. Kishane's time will come. His frustration will transpire into determination.
Kishane lost the race, because he was out leaned. I love the reggae boys and that was the greatest 100m race in Olympic history. There were four runners at the end that had a chance to win and all athletes ran under 10 seconds! This was a race of champions. I was hoping for a great race, and got the greates of all time. Asafa Powell was at the olympics recording on his phone and all he could say was “wow! wow! wow mon.” USA and Jamaica, create magic on the track.
I have a different perspective of Jamaican fans now. Y'all clearly Dont know track and field. Y'all just care about winning. Its been the torso forever. Thompson wasn't robbed. He lost a close race. Get over it! Jamaicans have beat Americans at the line plenty of times. We congratulate and move on. Y'all are really making yourselves look foolish to the world.
The coach said he had to get a lot of work done by his physio prior to that race and he struggles with injuries. There’s no certainty but hopefully he will make it 🙏🏾
Stop talk weh yuh nuh know Seville has a groin problem that he had to go to Germany to get help In the finals it acted up on him It is said his injury is more serious than one can imagine Suh stop chat off unoo mouth

Much respect for these Jamaican brothers for keeping it 100%, no excuses.
Likewise ✊🏾
It’s about the torso being over the line not the foot!!! This is why they have photo finish still shots and real time computer images
Facts. Avid followers of track and field know this that’s why the dip is so important and some athletes have literally dived over the line

I appreciate this video.
Much respect
I want to see more, please keep covering the olympics.
Next one will drop after the relays. We’re looking forward to those 💪🏾

Thanks for this comment. Question though: Does this mean there cannot be a tie for gold? I’ve seen runners share other medals

Great analysis @@ronester1
When you are relaxed you run faster. Kishane wasn't used to any one beside him after 80m. He got tight and cost him the race.
Was that my fault? 😂😂😂
This reminds of our great sprinter asafa Powell when under pressure
yes he was EOBBED

If you got that perspective from this video you clearly didn’t watch video before you commented
why kishane cant run relay ?

Robbed of what? It's been the torso, and still is.
Maybe watched the video and see what we actually said 🤷🏾♂️
ROBBED
Stop talk weh yuh nuh know
Seville has a groin problem that he had to go to Germany to get help
In the finals it acted up on him
It is said his injury is more serious than one can imagine
Suh stop chat off unoo mouth
We didn’t know this and we appreciate him going out there to perform even at the risk of impact on his career. Nonetheless we stand by what was said
So how them show every angle but not from Kishane’s angle. SMH
hollyyyyy shut up man
The above angle clearly shows Lyles torso in front of Kishanes
Stop dreaming about kishane lost. It's a fact and nothing will change what happened.vonly NOah Lyle's is the only one reigns. Bye bye kishane 😮
The world championships will be another showdown. It will go differently there
🤪🤪
