No! Noah had the slowest start of all 8! Stopped this video at 1:40, because you don't know what you're talking about. I really don't like doing this, though your commentary here is unacceptably incompetent!
Lyles start was verified slowest by the Paris Olympic Committees own recorded times.
Kerley had the best start followed by Kishane. Noah was 8th out of the blocks (you know there were only 8 men in the race?) He was dead last! Noah wasn't "with the field"...damn, get it together.
Noah was in last place at 30 meters. At 60 meters Noah was in third place and had a lot of space to cover. He hit the top high end speed of anyone else in this race at 70 meters.
Over the last 20 meters he maintained his speed and barely beat Thompson. Uh, that's why it was a photo finish. Seriously, if someone listened to you and then watched the race on NBC in the evening, they would be totally baffled by what you described.
Did you watch this race or did some other uninformed non track guy tell you about it? This is the worst video I've seen breaking down this race. Earlier today I watched the guy's channel Noah watches and comments on. That guy is awesome and a 100 meter sprint coach. Even without watching that, anyone who knows track could do a better job than you did here. Have you heard of this new tech called video? If you actually watched the race, Noah WAS NOT "out of the blocks with the field."

    • @tundeadagun
      @tundeadagun 4 месяца назад +1

@@TheoOJamaloO1 Kerley had a blistering start. The best I have ever seen from him at 0.108 kishane was at O.176. if you look at kishane's recent races by 60 it's over because of his early and strong drive phase but kerley was still there and you can't ignore a 9.76 guy that has shown he can win. I would say kerley pushed kishane. Meanwhile Noah was having his own battle with those immediately around him particularly oblique. Noah had his normal poor start he was behind all by 30-40 and chased all others down to win. I did not expect he would catch all at least not kishane. It would be interesting to see them race side by side with Noah's start not a factor. Beast mode for both.

When Kishane didn't separate from Fred with 20m to go he seemed to tense up. Kishane's constant race shutdowns because of big leads hurt him today. He'd never been tested in the last 20m. And he never saw Noah at all who is famous for his closes. Technically, only Noah and Kishane hit top speeds of 43.5 but Kishane decelerated quicker than Noah (40.0 to Noah's 40.1).

They said Noah won because his torso touched the line first despite Kishane actually crossing the line first. So he won because he capitalized off of Kishane's inexperiening in his finish. Remember Noah's girlfriend tells him everything about the Jamaican athletes. If he knows Kishane's weakness is that he doesn't use his torso much at the line because he's always shutting down and cruising feet first through the line, in a tight race like this, he was armed with ammo and tonight it was needed. He knows he's at an advantage because he's an American and he's the Olympic posterchild.

Top 3 best finals of all time.
The second best 100m in Olympic history after 2012 and it's close.
This race has the fastest 4th place time in ANY race with Simbine 9.82. Yes Gay ran 9.80 for 4th, but that was scratched because of his ban.
From 5th to 8th are the fastest times for those placings not just in Olympic history, but any race in history.
    London 2012 from 5th to 8th:
    Ryan Bailey 9.88
    Churandy Martina 9.94
    Richard Thompson 9.98
    Asafa Powell 11.99
Paris was faster from 5th to 8th. Also this should be the race with the most sub 9.9s. First race in Olympic history to have all men run under 10 and finish.

Where the future is concerned, I just hope they can keep Kishane healthy. He's already had a lot of injury issues and his coaches have had to take things very slowly to try to keep him healthy. Hopefully they can stay on top of things and help him reach his full potential.
I agree that Kishane has the highest ceiling. Tebogo may be able to get there too, but he seems to me to have more potential in the longer sprints.

But remember, Noah is a 200 meter specialist. He wasn't even considered a truly credible 100m world championship threat until perhaps 2020. He had to really work on his start to get his 100m time to where it's at. Kishane doesn't even run the 200.

For example that light show before the men’s race gave me anxiety and I was sitting on my couch at home 🤣 I can only imagine the mental wars these athletes had to battle when they line up. Kishane - I presumed he takes it for granted - not everyone need a podium finish! It's Noah's head & chest crosses the line before his feet. With Mr. Thompson height and leg speed - he should have duck within a step of the finish line; then Noah would get a different wear. He's Noah - let hope his actions were lesson learnt for others.
I thought Mr. Hughes - Kingston College (Jamaica) old boy would have been one of the faster loser, but I was surprise Semi-final two and three results. Semi #2 I had Kenny B 1 & Tobago 2 with Simbine waiting for non-auto qualifier. Semi#3 Omanyala - Kenya athlete with Z Hughes battling for second knowing that is 2 qualifier - Kerley was completely out of picture but he did what he need to do ALL through the rounds!!!
He pined Kishane from start to finish - thus it may be a factor he lost on that narrow margin. Noah gets the best view and acted wisely - congratulation to America's Gold medal winner - Men's 100M dash.
This is the race of the century - NO other 100M men's final can ever come close to Paris 2024. It was evident that Seville had an issue at 45M but he continue and finish in a credible time! Well done gentlemen - take the experience for a big plan - Los Angeles 2028 - USA will NOT be on Podium.
