    Great video Sparky. Milwaukee is really into the trades with both hand and power tools.

    Very neat tools. I have been using the ideal branded ratcheting ones for over a decade now.
    A cool way to remember the color scheme is to follow these 3 rules:
    1. Each pair always starts with a lighter white color followed by a solid color.
    2. The Blue pair is always at the center.
    3. The Brown pair is always the last pair.
    So for the B pattern start with orange and the green pair hugs the blue pair.
    For A, start with green, and the orange pair hugs the blue pair.
    There is no difference between A or B standards. If one end is A and the other is B, we have a cross over cable which is used to connect two similar devices. Such as two switches or two ethernet cards to each other. Otherwise if both ends are A or B, then we have a straight cable used to connect dissimilar devices such as an ethernet card to a switch.
    Now a days switches and even some ethernet cards do auto cross over so they switch internally from A to B or vice versa to establish conectivity.
    Also legacy analog phone pairs folow a diffrent scheme.

    Data guys taught me to untwist pairs quickly, use a tweaker with a rounded shank and feed it through the first twist at the base where you stripped the jacket, and pull out

    • @SparkyChannel
      @SparkyChannel  7 месяцев назад +1

      That sounds great. What is a tweaker?

    • @Pinktella
      @Pinktella 7 месяцев назад +1

      Even better is to use the jacket that you stripped and slide it over one of the pair, twist it to the bottom then squeeze the loose pair with the jacket as you pull it away giving you straight, untwisted lines.

    I personally prefer the A pattern, just because I can do all my jacks that way, and they can be assigned to either voice or data without rewiring the jack.
