Fun fact: titanfall and apex have staged reloads. Very unusual for casual FPS. It's usually find in simulation games or realistic shooters like escape from tarkov and insurgency. Basically, your character puts the magazine in, and you start running canceling the reload. The game remembers you put the mag in so all your character has to do is chamber the round after you stop running.

what i love about all these animations is the small added feature where the pilot doesnt pull the bolt to load the chaber unless he fired the gun empty. if you relaod mid mag you donnt pull the bolt because there is already a round in the chamber. its the little things like that that make the game so good.
literally every shooter when titanfall 2 was made had that feature, it isn’t all that unique. Now what’s really unique is the movement system. That shit is fun as hell. And the titans too, don’t forget about that.

The source engine is like about 20 years old at this point so there's some technical limits to his understanding of animating. CoD I don't know what they're using but it seems high quality for Hyper and other animators for MW to make things more "crisp"

From what I can tell, the player character was holding a new magazine in his left hand before he swapped out the spent mag. The animation is quick but you can definitely see it.
It's a shame many don't even know the origins of Apex. Literally 2 games, Titanfall and Titanfall 2 were the predecessors of Apex. Same universe, just different timelines. Both Titanfall games were underrated imo, that's why a lot of people don't know about those than Apex. But hey joke or not, these guns were all from Titanfall not Apex.
Well, most of Apex's guns is the newest iteration of Titanfall's guns that's surprisingly perform worse. So Titanfall still superior. Just look at Flatlines. In Titanfall it has flat recoil true to it's name, in Apex it's all over the place.

i just realized quite some stuff out of cyberpunk 2077 seems suspiciously similar to things titanfall did, desingwise as well: copperhead: R201 Darra Quasar: Alternator there is one similar to the flatline, but i forgot the name also the Smart gun HUD is very similar. Just jumped to my mind
I find it funny how most of these guns have an ambidextrous charging handle, yet on some of these the operator goes through the effort to reach over the gun and charge the weapon.

A thing i haven't heard people mention is how the titan guns are significantly more automated than the pilot guns. All 8 have at least one part that is done without physical input. It makes sense because the titans are probably directly connected to the gun and it's mechanisms
A grenade launcher would be an interesting weapon in Apex. You could use ordnance as the ammo, make it launch thermite after thermite, or a ton of frags.
I watch these to remind myself that if I ever come into contact with one of the titanfall hackers to tear them apart with my bear hands for destroying such a game for kicks
Now if you look closely at the animation you notice it's a little more "flat" compared to other FPS. I believe. The reason for this being that in FPS, during the reload cycle some designers might cut out or add extra frames to give a reload extra kick while the animators didn't do much of that during these reloads
If your wondering why the animations look so crisp and clean and has so much weight to them similar to how awesome the weapons in MW2019, it's because the legend himself Hyper was the one working on the animations for both the games. He's basically the lord and savior for weapon animation.
He wasn't the only person who worked on the animations, it was an animation team, and he only worked on Titanfall 2 and MW2019, and not the original Titanfall. I hate when people hear that Hyper worked of the animations and instantly think that he was the only one who made them.

I like these weapons because they look like something that could actually exist in the future unlike say cod BO3 which is just futuristic for futuristic's sake without actually considering the practicality of anything

yeah when i played cold war i could tell hyper didn't animate the reloads. they didn't have that weight around them

He wasn't the only person who worked on the animations, it was an animation team, and he only worked on Titanfall 2 and MW2019, and not the original Titanfall. I hate when people hear that Hyper worked of the animations and instantly think that he was the only one who made them.

@@Killerpants1125channel No, it was Khoa Le and Grigsby that gave direction for the MW animations. Hyper didn't even animate most of the FP sets for the game.

It was able to be used in TF1, and that game was only multiplayer. I don't know why they didn't add it in TF|2, I thought it was cool.
