Hope you don't mind I skipped to the interior tour (come back for the full vid) *Massive* manor , love the attention to detail the craftsmen's had, impressive!
Hee hee, no worries. You're welcome to watch as much or as little as you like, it's very much appreciated. And yes, they had some amazing artisans at work back then! :)
Another great video! I really loved the gardens and all the features. The walled garden is absolutely huge! The house is massive also! You do a great job of filming and telling the history. Thank you so much ! Really enjoyed this😊
Leaving a comment just to say you give such good, detailed tours. And the way you talk is relaxing. Great stuff. Blenheim is such an interesting place. Didn't know about the Churchill Vanderbilt connection. Interesting.
Thank you, I really appreciate that. It genuinely gives me encouragement to do more tours when people leave nice messages like yours. Thanks again, Adam :)
The 9th duke was a despicable human being, to say the least. He bluntly told Consuelo Vanderbilt that he did not love her and the only reason he married her was "to save Blenheim". No wonder her life was so sad, married to such a hateful and cold man. The story of this awful marriage is told in great detail in "Fortune´s Children" by Arthur T. Vanderbilt II. The book deals with the rise and fall of the Vanderbilt dynasty between 1870 and 1930 and gives you a realistic picture of America´s wealthiest families of the so-called "Gilded Age"
Winston Churchill’s mother, Jenny Jerome an American heiress, was married to the 9th Duke’s brother Randolph. Consuelo Vanderbilt was forced by her mother to marry the Duke so she could be a duchess in exchange for the money that saved Blenheim. Such a sad, sad story.
I don't think they really had much of a riot in London. It was mostly in other places around England and Northern Ireland. People were just looking for an excuse to cause trouble I think. Soon packed it in when they started dishing out prison sentences though...
I was just thinking about how much i miss your content yesterday so tbis is a very pleasant surprise 💕 looking forward to a sunday spent watching this
Thank you, hope you enjoy it. Did you go to Alton Towers in the summer and have a look around the gardens etc?
Thanks for another enjoyable tour. 😊
You're very welcome! Thanks for joining me on another tour :)

Wonderful work Adam! You have done a great research; your description of Bernini´s "Fountain of the Four Rivers" in Piazza Navona is spot on. Regards.
Thanks again 😃
So.Magnificent.!
Great video
Thank you, very much appreciated! :)
Hi Adam, in min 5:17 you show a figure with a sword? It looks like a trident, is it correct?
I really enjoy the video, Thanks ! Love
Yes, that's right. That's the figure of Britannia with her trident, with some French prisoners shackled up behind her. Thanks for watching, Adam :)
neat
Thanks :)

That sounds really interesting actually. Might give that a read one day :)

What's with all the riots in London?
I don't think they really had much of a riot in London. It was mostly in other places around England and Northern Ireland. People were just looking for an excuse to cause trouble I think. Soon packed it in when they started dishing out prison sentences though...
They just don't build them like they used to
