I don’t get how most people would rather have the main character with the kidnapper because they feel bad for the kidnapper because they have loved them for “so long” or the current boyfriend “looks like a player”. However, this makes no sense. A kidnapper is never in the right, always in the wrong. It makes no sense as to why they would want someone to love someone who has caused them such torment and suffering. Although the couple may be “cuter” sacrificing one of the party’s mental health in order to maintain this “cute” relationship makes no sense.
