A mesmerizing show at the time when I was a kid in Chicago, when most segments on Garfield Goose and other programs were cartoons. Never thought in a million years I would ever see it again. Thank you RUclips! To see this more than 50 years later brings tears to my eyes!
Garfield Goose was my very favorite show way back in the day in the suburbs of Chicago. This was in the mists of my memories. Hubby and I just watched it and we both loved it. Thank you so much for uploading this!
I used to watch Ray Rainer in the mornings before walking to school and then running home to watch "Journey To The Beginning Of Time" on Garfield Goose show (at lunch I would have a bowl of soup and a sandwich while I watched the Bozo show). I watched a lot of TV (channel; 9 on World's Greatest Network WGN).
I watched this on channel 9 in Chicago I t was my favorite it was broken up to play on Garfield goose show early 60s been trying to find it for years as I only saw it once on the show thanks for finding it
Thanks For Posting This. 1960s I was 3 - 12 yrs old in Chicago, IL. (southside) When I Retire I'm Gonna Watch All These Shows in DVDs & Be a Kid Again. (smile) Semper-Fi.
This is not the original version, the original never had the kids in NYC, also those kids you see in the museum aren't the kids you see in the rest of the picture you'll notice they don't show their faces.
This movie gave me my first existential crisis when I was kid. I started thinking about what happened before time begin, and what was existence and the universe. I got too scared to see the ending.
This is my first time watching the American adaptation. Back in the early 90's, I had a recording of the German dub; a straight translation of the Czech original, without the added part in the museum at the start. The kids just up and decided to go on an expedition down the stream of time to find a live trilobite. 😄

I never thought I’d see it again either.
Distant past memories.
I don't think I ever saw these episodes in color and yeah I remember seeing these back in Chicago as a kid brings back happy memories
Me too
I saw as a kid also on Garfield Goose and Friends in Chicago!..
I had no idea that this was a full length feature movie!
Most people had black and white tv's back in early sixties. Color televisions didn't become widely available to everyone until later in the decade.

What a blessing! To revisit a past memory! I have told folks about this but never knew it still existed. Wow!

When I visited the museum years later; I was thrilled seeing all the exhibits I’d seen in this movie when I was a kid!
I used to watch this and it seemed so realistic and scary 😂. Thank you for sharing it.
Binoculars! They really had magical knapsacks!
As Seen on Garfield Goose and Friends
I saw this for the first time in 1962, it started my interest in dinosaurs.

My mom yelling at us to get ready for school. We had to watch the next episode. ....
Fun movie.
Thanks for posting.
I hope Tony has some extra Kodak 620 film!
Thanks
Growing up in the Detroit area I remember watching daily segments of this on captain Jolly from CKLW out of Windsor Ontario. 😃👍
Great find.
Kettles! Blankets, pillows….those mothers were really resourceful!
I was just thinking of what the title was called and it popped up, makes me remember when I’d watch it as a kid and brings back goosebumps
My words are falling like sledgehammers!
This was shown in the early 60s as a serial every Saturday on Gene London's Cartoon Corners....I found the DVD a couple years ago.

It seems that Tony comes from an upper class family. His camera is better than my Brownie!
2024 We Need a Remake of This in CGI. I Want This in DVD / Blueray. Saw This as a Kid in 1960s Chicago, IL.
that'd be cool, but could a remake capture the emotion that this evokes ?

1:05:45 They cut out the part where the boys run into Marlon Brando.
Que pelotudo

I hope their mothers packed some sweaters for them! Wait for it! They did!
Little did she know they'd travel back in time to the very beginning of creation itself
Where did the Magical Teepee appear from?😂
It was God all along. Har har!
