When I see and hear someone like Angelina Jordon, I see in her the beauty and perfection of his creation. Someone once said that even God sometimes shows his cards. Angelina is God's gift to us, and we should all treasure that gift.

What a great presentation ,I was a dj in the 1960's in Las Vegas, and Elvis bought an hour of our station time to play his religious songs, I announced it and he was dedicating all of these songs to his mother We were the only station in town, who would play his music, when we played one of his songs, he would call the station and thank us..very classy guy
Being from the South where Elvis performed at the local venues (Texarkana & Sheveport's Louisoana Hayride) some times newcomers never knew how deep his religious roots of his upbringing, influenced ALL of his music, as those of us who knew him in his early twenties remember his roots.

I think she did this within the last year or so. While she is constantly evolving as a vocal artist, and she may have had this pulled from RUclips because she was dissatisfied with it, why would she sound much different today?

On this one I feel Elvis seemed to struggle with some of the low notes, whereas Angelina seems to thrive with them. IMO. I could listen to Angelina sing this one all day.

It's possible he first installed this special love into Angelina after she gave the shoes she was wearing to a poor Arab girl she met in the streets of the mid-east, then decided to donate winnings from Norway's Got Talent to the less fortunate, and has raised countless millions through charity concerts for many of God's less fortunate. She NEVER will wear shoes when performing, even in the Winters of Norway, to remind everyone that they should be aware of the many who don't even own one pair of shoes.

This is a Swedish song. "How Great Thou Art" is a Christian hymn based on a Swedish traditional melody and a poem written by Carl Boberg (1859-1940) in Mönsterås, Sweden, in 1885. It was translated into German and then into Russian .
it is interesting that this song was only up on her Grandmother's channel ( Angelina Jordan Fanclub Mosarz) for only a few days, and now only survives on RUclips through a couple of reactors that had downloaded for their own reactions. My assumption at the time was Angelina was somehow dissatisfied with how it turned out and had her Grandmother take it down; it certainly couldn't have been a copyright thing.
How many ways, and for how many reasons, do we love this kid? I've lost count. I agree with Julio below, a redo of this would be awesome, because I think this is one of those songs that requires the belting punch, like Carrie Underwood gives it. Two other songs I wish Angelina would offer a little more power in places are Oslo and If You Go Away. Both of these songs, she sings the "quiet" parts like liquid gold, of course. Angelina is a great talent, but sorry, no one sings gospel with more emotion than Elvis! AJ is singing with a deep expressive voice but imo it doesn't sound as natural as Elvis, his deep rich voice sounds greater on this song.✌
Sometimes I think when she is learning or working on a particular technique we see a recording like this. She is focusing on opening her lower throat to deepen her melodic range, that is to sing in a lower register than before. This is professional stretching, I think.
Angelina isn't quite the contralto range but is impressively low enough for this Swedish hymn classic. Is the top of her range demonstrated in "I Have Nothing"?

It appears to be approximately a C3 (maybe slightly lower, but apparently not as low as a B2, which is the next note down).
In this time of global pandemic and vile government in the USA the thing that is getting me through the hopelessness is the music of these young singers. I've heard this group before. The bass singer from Pentatonix sang with them on Hallelujah. The group name has country in it. I hope someone will post their name. (I know the pentatonix singers have wider vocal ranges than "bass."
Although Avi Kaplan has sung with Home Free after he left Pentatonix for personal reasons, in the version that was played here Home Free has their own great bass, Tim Faust, and Chance can go almost as low as a baritone when the arrangement requires.
Hi David The original was taken down after a few days for some inexplicable reason. I felt her version was too wonderful and powerful to keep it hidden so I reacted to one of the 3 reaction videos featuring this song. But I chose the wrong one!! The best version is from TRICKYRICKY reactor. Inevitably, there will be gaps in my preparation.
There is no direct link to an original. For some reason, it was removed. I used one of the reactor's videos to demonstrate the song- but I used the wrong one. It would have been better if I had used TrickyRicky- all round a better version. AP

I happen to agree with you. They both have very distinctive voices but Sinatra is silky smooth and is a master of phrasing. He also sings in such a leisurely way
This is not one of my favorite Angelina songs. It sounds like she is trying to sing it in too low a key & is struggling, but that's just my take on it.

Actually I've already recorded my reaction to 'If You Go Away'. I compare to her versions by Streisand, Sinatra, Ray Charles and the original Jacques Brel. But I have 4 other AJ videos I wish to publish before this one so you may not see it much before Christmas
Angelina is a great talent, but sorry, no one sings gospel with more emotion than Elvis! AJ is singing with a deep expressive voice but imo it doesn't sound as natural as Elvis, his deep rich voice sounds greater on this song.✌
Sometimes I think when she is learning or working on a particular technique we see a recording like this. She is focusing on opening her lower throat to deepen her melodic range, that is to sing in a lower register than before. This is professional stretching, I think.
Angelina isn't quite the contralto range but is impressively low enough for this Swedish hymn classic. Is the top of her range demonstrated in "I Have Nothing"?

For the record, this cover contains the lowest note we've heard Angelina sing. It appears to be approximately a C3 (maybe slightly lower, but apparently not as low as a B2, which is the next note down).
In this time of global pandemic and vile government in the USA the thing that is getting me through the hopelessness is the music of these young singers.
I've heard this group before. The bass singer from Pentatonix sang with them on Hallelujah. The group name has country in it. I hope someone will post their name.
(I know the pentatonix singers have wider vocal ranges than "bass."
Although Avi Kaplan has sung with Home Free after he left Pentatonix for personal reasons, in the version that was played here Home Free has their own great bass, Tim Faust, and Chance can go almost as low as a baritone when the arrangement requires.

Hi David The original was taken down after a few days for some inexplicable reason. I felt her version was too wonderful and powerful to keep it hidden so I reacted to one of the 3 reaction videos featuring this song. But I chose the wrong one!! The best version is from TRICKYRICKY reactor. Inevitably, there will be gaps in my preparation.

There is no direct link to an original. For some reason, it was removed. I used one of the reactor's videos to demonstrate the song- but I used the wrong one. It would have been better if I had used TrickyRicky- all round a better version. AP

Oh my, I wish you'd use another video of ANGELina, instead of the video of someone else reacting, listening to background noise and him munching while watching.... O_o :P

Again, please, use the original clips from ANGELina's page, and not one where there are background noise from a reactor.
It takes away from the experience. And if you in the future use clips like this, please tell us, the viewers and listeners about it.

The best singer is not Elvis, it is Frank.
I happen to agree with you. They both have very distinctive voices but Sinatra is silky smooth and is a master of phrasing. He also sings in such a leisurely way

This is not one of my favorite Angelina songs. It sounds like she is trying to sing it in too low a key & is struggling, but that's just my take on it.

oneafter909- Move over once, move over twice. This stuff is subjective. I love Elvis. I'm the lead singer in an Elvis act. I literally LOVE Elvis. But AJ's version, for me, puts Elvis' version tenderly to bed and kisses it gently goodnight. Something tells me the King himself might agree.
