My definition of the video:
Alex is in a therapy session with all these different “people” which are actually different parts of him (that is the disaster mix-liar, cynic, sinner, saint..) where they all learn to cooperate with each other and he learns how to accept them as a part of himself. The message is that we all have parts of ourselves that we like or dislike, but to function better we have to learn how to communicate and understand each part and accept that that is who we are while learning how to love ourselves, be it by going to therapy or having friends around or simply going through the process alone.
The rest of the guys being there might have some kind of meaning (like being there and showing support for Alex) or they could be there because they are a part of the band and it makes no sense to make a music video with just Alex in it..
That’s all folks!
*edit: Just so we don't have any misunderstandings- the boys could be there as a support system and they could be an already built-in part of Alex that he goes to for support whenever he is dealing with each part of himself. I bet that the same goes for any of the guys.

Alex’s voice is honestly so soothing, I love them so much. And I’m incredibly happy that they released this
I’ve always known who ATL was but never really got into them til earlier this year. I deep dived every single album and ep and fell in love with them. When this song came out I listened to it before I listened to Last Young Renegade and I felt it was solid but now that I’ve listened to LYR in depth I really appreciate this music video and the lyrics. LYR was about struggling with change and growing up and finding yourself through all the change and this song and the rest of Wake Up Sunshine is about finally finding yourself and being that best version of yourself. This entire album is a perfect way of viewing life, you’re always gonna have to do soul searching, always gonna have to deal with moving on from things in life (whether it’d be people or jobs or etc.), always gonna feel up beat and feel incredible, and always in the end have someone love you, and of course always have life experiences like Basement Noise where you have a dream like these guys did and they didn’t think they’d ever get anywhere with it.
apparently it is a common video, but in the end we realize that when everyone wears everyone's clothes, it is the moment where we realize that we are all part of the same kind of disaster. We're not alone. A strong hug to the one whoever is readig this.
