I used to play the clarinet and we had something called the chromatic scale, which comprised every single note the clarinet can play, from lowest to highest and back down again. The true mark of skill was being able to play it in one breath. That meant you either had to have incredible lung capacity or be able to play the scale FAST. I was able to play it both ways by the time I quit band, and MAN, do I miss having that lung capacity! It felt like I never needed to breathe. Alex has been singing longer than I ever played so I can only imagine his lung capacity!!!
ATL never fails to surprise me. Wake Up Sunshine is a true work of art lyric wise and instrumental wise, and Alex's voice aged like fine wine. I was really worried about the rap part, as it wasn't my favourite in the original song(it was still really good) but this really surprised me. Alex did really awesome and it just reaffirms that Acoustic versions of songs are beautiful.
