I sometimes feel that All Time Low bought ten thousand hours of studio time in 2008, recorded about five hundred songs and have been randomly picking songs to make into albums. In reality, they haven't stepped into a studio in seven years.
I haven't cut in 5 months thanks to music, therapy, and my 3 younger siblings. It is hard AF to not cut. Thank you for reading this and don't cut or kill yourself. People do care. We are all kids in the dark

This song has probably helped a lot of people as this song is not just a regular popular song, it has a strong message behind it.

I used to listen to these guys in high school. Hell, the party scene was practically my freshman years' anthem. I hadn't listened to them in such a long time, but a friend shared this in Facebook and I just had to watch it. Listening to it immediately brought tears to my eyes. I don't know what it is about these four boys from Baltimore, but they'll always hold a special place in my heart.
This reminds me of a Tumblr post that said something along the lines of "All Time Low is one of those bands that, even if you stop listening to them, they stay in your heart forever." Mind you, as someone who's kind of a little bit obsessed (I have a tattoo of their lyrics), I don't understand why anyone would stop listening to them but hey, to each their own. ***** I have been a fan of All Time Low since 2007 when I was a freshman in high school. They have always in my top 3 artists at any given time (frequently at #1), but I go through different phases of what genre I like at any given time. It's always changing and going back and forth for me, from country to pop to hard rock to punk rock to hip-hop, etc. I listen to so many different genres. However, I can always listen to All Time Low. There may be times when I don't listen to them for a few months, even a year at point or two, but they will always be one of my favorites. There is no other band I can say this about. It's been 8 years and while they may not always be the band at the top of my list they will always be on my list.
lleasure29 That's awesome. :) I've been a fan for nearly 3 years and for me, personally, they've been #1 ever since I first listened to them really. But that's just me. I kind of fell into the best downward spiral ever haha. They literally have the most dedicated fans ever imo. Most of us stick around and that's awesome. I'll never stop supporting them. I can say that wholeheartedly as they've done so much for me and their music is always so great. I'm so grateful for this band.
***** They do have awesome fans, of course with the exception of a couple that need to learn some boundaries (every band seems to have 2 or 3 with boundary problems). Not many bands make it to 6 albums and I hope they make 6 more after this.

This reminds me of my little brother. My parents were kinda supportive of my older brother and not very supportive of me and my little brother had to do almost everything on his own. They never noticed how he would hit himself in the face. I asked him about it and he said "well... I've been thinking about some things that are sad." He's five(I don't know where he learned that but I didn't hurt myself till I was 11 and even then I covered it up and never let anyone know, especially not him). So I did a puzzle with him and let him watch youtube because I know those things make him happy and while we did said puzzle I played this song and he loved it, he hits himself in the face less and whenever we play music he always asks for this song.
This was me for 5 years. My parents were too busy fighting instead of taking care of me. But on top of that my mother blamed me for their problems. That crumbled my confidence. And because she tells me this every other day I’ve been depressed for 3 years. My parents got divorced and my father met someone that Soo nice. She had a daughter named Haley . She’s the best sister I could have ever asked for. She’s helped me through the dark times in order for me to get my s**t together. But it turned out that she had just as many problems as me so together we helped each other out life hasn’t been the same since she’s help me out tremendously

olive h I personally have never known anyone that dislikes or hates All Time Low. Sure I know people who don't listen to their music because of their personal music preferences (they don't like the genre), but none of those individuals actually dislike them. Of all the artists, bands, etc I know exist I think All Time Low might be the least hated/disliked (in my own experiences). It's weird for me because I never feel like I have to hide being a fan, unlike pretty much every other artist. Do you know a lot of people that genuinely hate them? Or are they people that just don't listen to All Time Low because of personal preferences?

Everyone has things they don't like. There are definitely some things I absolutely hate; some have explanations why, others I literally have no explanations or specific reasons why. If everyone liked the same things the world would be a pretty boring place. I agree that I don't understand why people would hate All Time Low, but as long as they are not asses about it, I understand that they see things differently. This song makes so much more sense now. At their concert I didn't feel alone anymore. I felt surrounded by people who love the same things. We all supported each other and it felt like one massive family. I don't get that feeling anywhere else than being in the crowd with these amazing people.
i got fucking choked up. im gonna tell you something, this song has got me to NOT commit suicide. ALL TIME FUCKING LOW saves my life all the time. i know i swear a lot, but these guys are my heroes. i want to meet them so bad. it's my dream. i would honestly give anything to even be able to see them in concert. i have been a die hard fan for a few years and i love them. i went through 5 mental hospitalizations, all of my high school experience where i was called the "suicidal slut" years of bulima, and bipolar disorders. All Time Low's music got me through it. if i got to meet them, i would just want to say thank you and have a hug from them. Those boys mean more to me than anything, and Kids In The Dark is my theme song as i go into college, and getting my gallbladder out. i have been almost 1 year of cutting free on May 21st and All Time Low helped me get through it. i just wanted to say thank you, Hopeless Records for producing them and allowing them to make music that speaks to me. and of course, thank you to All Time Low for making songs like this. i dont know if this will be read but i wanted to write it in case it would be.

This song helped me so much in that time, because I realized that I wasn't alone, I was only in the dark. Now looking back, I can perfectly see my young me listening this song, working alone in the library of school, and... she is happy, she's not as sad as she think she is, and that makes me happy, cause now I know that I choose the right music, now I'm not in the dark anymore.
Each state needs to have a kids in the dark club that meets once a week! Then once a month/year we can have a giant kids in the dark meeting and every person from every kids in the dark group will meet at a certain place and we can all meet and help each other!!

I used to listen to these guys in high school. Hell, the party scene was practically my freshman years' anthem. I hadn't listened to them in such a long time, but a friend shared this in Facebook and I just had to watch it. Listening to it immediately brought tears to my eyes. I don't know what it is about these four boys from Baltimore, but they'll always hold a special place in my heart.
This reminds me of a Tumblr post that said something along the lines of "All Time Low is one of those bands that, even if you stop listening to them, they stay in your heart forever." Mind you, as someone who's kind of a little bit obsessed (I have a tattoo of their lyrics), I don't understand why anyone would stop listening to them but hey, to each their own. People must have their reasons, I guess. Anyway, they've come a long way since you were listening to them and I'm so proud of them. Sold out Wembley Arena in, like, under 2 weeks. :) I love these idiots.

***** I have been a fan of All Time Low since 2007 when I was a freshman in high school. They have always in my top 3 artists at any given time (frequently at #1), but I go through different phases of what genre I like at any given time. It's always changing and going back and forth for me, from country to pop to hard rock to punk rock to hip-hop, etc. I listen to so many different genres. However, I can always listen to All Time Low. There may be times when I don't listen to them for a few months, even a year at point or two, but they will always be one of my favorites. There is no other band I can say this about. It's been 8 years and while they may not always be the band at the top of my list they will always be on my list.
lleasure29 That's awesome. :) I've been a fan for nearly 3 years and for me, personally, they've been #1 ever since I first listened to them really. But that's just me. I kind of fell into the best downward spiral ever haha. They literally have the most dedicated fans ever imo. Most of us stick around and that's awesome. I'll never stop supporting them. I can say that wholeheartedly as they've done so much for me and their music is always so great. I'm so grateful for this band.
***** They do have awesome fans, of course with the exception of a couple that need to learn some boundaries (every band seems to have 2 or 3 with boundary problems). Not many bands make it to 6 albums and I hope they make 6 more after this.

This reminds me of my little brother. My parents were kinda supportive of my older brother and not very supportive of me and my little brother had to do almost everything on his own. They never noticed how he would hit himself in the face. I asked him about it and he said "well... I've been thinking about some things that are sad." He's five(I don't know where he learned that but I didn't hurt myself till I was 11 and even then I covered it up and never let anyone know, especially not him). So I did a puzzle with him and let him watch youtube because I know those things make him happy and while we did said puzzle I played this song and he loved it, he hits himself in the face less and whenever we play music he always asks for this song.

And because she tells me this every other day I’ve been depressed for 3 years. My parents got divorced and my father met someone that Soo nice. She had a daughter named Haley . She’s the best sister I could have ever asked for. She’s helped me through the dark times in order for me to get my s**t together. But it turned out that she had just as many problems as me so together we helped each other out life hasn’t been the same since she’s help me out tremendously

olive h I personally have never known anyone that dislikes or hates All Time Low. Sure I know people who don't listen to their music because of their personal music preferences (they don't like the genre), but none of those individuals actually dislike them. Of all the artists, bands, etc I know exist I think All Time Low might be the least hated/disliked (in my own experiences). It's weird for me because I never feel like I have to hide being a fan, unlike pretty much every other artist. Do you know a lot of people that genuinely hate them? Or are they people that just don't listen to All Time Low because of personal preferences?

Everyone has things they don't like. There are definitely some things I absolutely hate; some have explanations why, others I literally have no explanations or specific reasons why. If everyone liked the same things the world would be a pretty boring place. I agree that I don't understand why people would hate All Time Low, but as long as they are not asses about it, I understand that they see things differently. But, I do agree in that I personally wouldn't understand most people's reasons for not liking them. I hope she is not an ass in regards to her dislike of All Time Low.

This song makes so much more sense now. At their concert I didn't feel alone anymore. I felt surrounded by people who love the same things. We all supported each other and it felt like one massive family. I don't get that feeling anywhere else than being in the crowd with these amazing people.
i got fucking choked up. im gonna tell you something, this song has got me to NOT commit suicide. ALL TIME FUCKING LOW saves my life all the time. i know i swear a lot, but these guys are my heroes. i want to meet them so bad. it's my dream. i would honestly give anything to even be able to see them in concert. i have been a die hard fan for a few years and i love them. i went through 5 mental hospitalizations, all of my high school experience where i was called the "suicidal slut" years of bulima, and bipolar disorders. All Time Low's music got me through it. if i got to meet them, i would just want to say thank you and have a hug from them. Those boys mean more to me than anything, and Kids In The Dark is my theme song as i go into college, and getting my gallbladder out. i have been almost 1 year of cutting free on May 21st and All Time Low helped me get through it. i just wanted to say thank you, Hopeless Records for producing them and allowing them to make music that speaks to me. and of course, thank you to All Time Low for making songs like this. i dont know if this will be read but i wanted to write it in case it would be.

When this song came out, I was depressed af, I even tried to kill ms a few times. I was 15, I was a kid and I felt so alone, specially because in my country this music was only for freaks, and everyone treated me like that. This song helped me so much in that time, because I realized that I wasn't alone, I was only in the dark. Now looking back, I can perfectly see my young me listening this song, working alone in the library of school, and... she is happy, she's not as sad as she think she is, and that makes me happy, cause now I know that I choose the right music, now I'm not in the dark anymore.
