- Some headphones clamp too hard. I'm trying to reduce clamping force on SENNHEISER HD 6XX and SENNHEISER HD 380 Pro headphones with 3D printed parts.

Headphones with adjustable clamping force are a dream for me.
That's why I like smart people.
Another amazing solution to a very common problem! Please make more solutions, really love what you're doing!
Thank you!
@@PavloKhmeldude u do realise that there are people here who wants to know where the hell to get that ruler thing . Or what is the name for that ruler thing.
@@PavloKhmelhow abt to tighten lose headphones?
I never think of doing things this way on my uncomfortable headphone (other brand) . Great content 🔥
00:10 Wow... this measurement technique is brilliant 👍.
this helped me so much, I dont have a 3d printer so went for the ruler and straps (used Velcro so I could make it tight without them coming loose, also removable) and the result was instantly noticeable, I'll need to go out and get something better suited but for now this is great
Thanks man, used the ruler and some zip ties, alleviated the clamp force. I have ear lobes that stick out and it puts so much pressure on them.
Your are real engineering
Very neat solution, nicely explained; many thanks
amazing.. do you sell it ? I want one..
Interesting topic. Your video background and the music choice reminds me of the Dad ARG :D
Some headphones do come with head clamping force adjustment. They tend to be bulky and ugly as heck. AKG headphones are infamous or famous for this bet they are as good as Sennheiser when comparing medium end headphones in the $400 to $800 range. I am still partial to most Sennheiser headphones such as the Momentum, 620S and Game Zero. As you can tell, I prefer hot wearing, noise cancelling headphones.
❤🇿🇦....thx good idea..🙏.I'm struggling and have reading glasses aswell ...blessings 🇿🇦🙏
It worked amazing, thanks!! I just have an inquiry, if I leave the headphone for a month, for example, while it is in this state, will it return to the way it was if I removed the piece?
According to the theory of elasticity, Yes it will! But it will take some time which will be much less than the time you left the headphone for adjustment.
Great vid. Thanks Pavlo. Have you tried using the heat gun on the headband while supported by ruller or your printed add-on to make it permanently looser?
Do you have any solution for opposite situation! How to tighten headband of loose headphones ! I have Sony MDR zx -100.
I bought the soundcore space one and love them but they aren't tight enough for me 😢
@@carlyp454 okay, I've found a solution for mine headphone. I've used a 'Metal Hair Band' plane and thinner one. And attached it with headphone's band from outside ! This worked for me, try if it works for yours too👍🏻👍🏻
you should sell these. I would buy one right now
naah ruler option is fine
my hero
My problem is the opposite. I want it to be tight.
But now it's like when you put it over the pot.
Does the 3D Files work for Sennheiser Game One?
Is that piece with holes for thread a sale product or should i make one. Why hasnt he mentioned about that. I dont think am able to find it anywhere online.
Where i can buy this solution plz ??
How do i increase the clamping force?
I just found your video, great solution!
What size should i print for a 600HD? Thanks

So how can we make LOOSE headphones tighter like the steelseries nova 7. They are unusable 😢. I have a big head too!
😂
@@psycho1548 what?
What material are you using for that print? Can you make one for HD280 pro?
I used PLA. I do not have HD280 but maybe one of sizes will fit for them. I uploaded several sizes here: www.thingiverse.com/thing:5517601
Just take 2 plastic bags of the color you like and make them into balls on each side. It is much faster, reversible and if you are a perfectionist you can give them the desired shape
What do the plastic bags do?
@@grimhyy they "make room space" between the headser arc and your head; I tried it 2 days but I bought 2 new headsets. That was only a provisional fix.
The opposite, please.
