This is what I think. I am not mad that they added mech robots. It was going to end up in the story at some point as ninjas surviving in modern times. What I am mad about is that they made the mech fights heavily rely on CGI, and therefore look bad. If they had made the fights hand drawn, with maybe some CGI, the show may have been better.
when we speak about ninja anime how many good one's comes to mind? naruto, ninja scroll 1993 ,basilisk 2005, flame of recca , ... there isn't alot now let see the mech genre: Neon Genesis Evangelion ,Code Geass,86,Mobile Suit Gundam ,Gurren Lagann ,GaoGaiGar and etc . the mech genre is filled with good anime but in the ninja genre there isn't enough good one out there so all that ninja kamui should have done was ,making all the episodes an over the top ninja action like the first few episodes and fans would have loved it.
As serious as the show lays itself, it becomes more enjoyable when you don't take it too seriously and just let it happen. And yes, that moment was absolutely silly.
i watched the first few episodes and was sure this was one of the shows i´ll just be sitting and refreshing aniworld for like 5 mins when it comes out but damn this fell off hard... never enjoyed mecha so this was just a pain to sit through in the end
Honestly, the episode where you state the story took a dive, I think that is where that as it falls it begins to pull a lot of stunts and fancy twists. Honestly from the get go it had the vibe that it was supposed to have intense fight scenes, but the rest was not to be taken too seriously despite being played straightforward in a deadpan. The characters actually become fun once you just let it happen, and enjoy the ride.
the hand to hand combat is what got all of hooked and then suddenly the mechs came out and i never went back. Shit looked so awful like wow its not even an excuse anymore because anime studios are actually getting pretty good these days with their cgi usage. Even anime that heavily rely on it still can look good. look at Kengan Ashura, it is very fluid and looks great.
I Honestly Stopped Watching Ninja Kamui The Second Episode They Included Mechs Now I Just Watch Only The Fights They Get In Without Mech...I Loved The Series But After The Mechas I Honestly Hatp It , Everything Was Fine Until They Introduced Power Rangers

Ending pissed me off. I sure hope you never need that super advanced one of a kind mech suit, meh just throw it in to a shallow river

I honestly completely disagree. I thought it was all pretty great. I honestly enjoyed every moment of this anime and thought it was pretty refreshing.

Everything about this anime was cool. I wanted it to be good, but midway through it just became another show and it lost me.
Yeah this was shit I stopped watching after that second mech fight couldn’t stomach it any longer
As a writer, I'd say... Would've been cool to have a forbidden lightning jutsu run the bots' pockets. Would've been real neat, y'know.
