Nonsense. Graeme has made mistakes before and has shown them on his videos. He doesn't hide anything. Nor does he need to. He's a perfectionist who exercises extreme caution while doing his trimmings. If he does make a mistake, it's going to be an extremely minor one. Certainly nothing worth covering up. Also, he did show the final version at 8:00 in the video. He had a block on it and had sprayed it down with iodine. That would be the last steps after the trimming is complete. He wouldn't be spraying it down with iodine before he finished removing the hoof horn. So, you are clearly talking out of your behind.

I actually expected the cavity to be bigger. With how the hoof was pliable up to the heel. I, as a programmer from the city who knows nothing of cattle, expected almost a sole separation. I was certain, however, that the cavity was bigger than what you first uncovered, because you were pressing quite a bit higher on the hoof when the coagulating blood first spurted out. That indicated to me that the cavity at least went to there.

I finally made it to Scotland in 2019 (before the 'craziness'). It's absolutely stunning. I had the strange feeling of being 'home'. We stayed for 2 weeks and explored as much of it as possible; both coasts, the Inner Hebrides, Orkneys, Highlands and a bit more... we didn't make it to the SW corner where Graeme lives, or to the Borders where my family is from. We simply ran out of time. At the end of the 2 weeks...my hubby had to drag me onto the plane. I did not want to leave. I am headed back this next summer to stay for a couple of months... DON'T wait until you're in your 60's like I did.... GO! Now!

And then the turn of his head to thank Graeme for his effort to make the hoof feel better. Even cantankerous bulls know when they’re being helped out. Thanks for sharing Graeme! 🎃

one little thing to add to why not to wrap certain infections:
most infection causing bacteria are anaerobic, oxygen is toxic to them, which is why you want as much air to get to the infected area as possible.

When you pressed up toward the middle of the claw and pus squirted from the toe, I was pretty sure a lot of that sole was going to have to be removed. The explanation of why you didn't wrap it makes total sense. It's not dermatitis, you don't treat it like it was. Letting it keep draining and getting some exposure to the air is far better.

Beautiful bull and not hardly angry at all. My grand dad had a bull that had a bad attitude all the time with men but to my grandmama and all of us girls, he was a sweetheart. It was funny and a bit strange. Was it by sight, smell…idk but he hated men.
