There were pitch issues, especially at the start, but that's because his ear-piece failed. He tried several times during the song to adjust it but without any luck ... I adore this song and really wanted it to do well. It's basolutely beautiful
Why didn't they keep this song in the same key as in the previews? Amaury was clearly capable of hitting those big notes. The song just doesn't have the same energy at all in this lower key. Before that, I thought France might actually win.
The Germans (who hosted the show that year) had technical problems only during his song when he performed for the televoting and when he performed for the judges. He was considered the most possible winner and during his performance there were problems. What a coincidence!

it was clear that he was having unexpected trouble initially with the tone and pitch, but he over came it to demonstrate he has one incredible voice...(check out the other versions of this song as well)...
Loved the song, such a shame about the liveperformance, that I believe was due to technical problems. But those thinking there were no problems live and that the result was wrong, should just have seen the Betfair odds for this when he sang live. I do think it started around odds 3 and then it just went one way from the first note, ending around odds 15-20 when the song was finished and going even higher after that.. Something I have never ever seen so dramatic there for Eurovision.

I'm so glad others have performed Opera at ESC. This remains my favourite French entry of that decade and one of my favourite entries of all time.

Il corso è italiano con qualche leggerissima differenza non significativa sulla comprensione. Ed ha la stessa musicalità come in italiano. In francese non si poteva ottenere questa stupenda melodia.
This is why going direct-to-final isn't necessarily an advantage.... not only do the non-RUclips-watching audience only get to hear the entry once, and never see what the full staging looks like until the final, but also the artists get put under much more pressure for having less time to rehearse, and having to do perfectly in their first and only public performance. This performance had its problems, besides him singing with too much vibrato and looking stiff, his outfit was unsuitable and the background too gaudy.

Il Volo fueron mis ganadores de 2015 y sigo pensando que fue un robo pero la canción a pesar de ser bonita no es nada sin sus voces. Esta canción me gusta bastante más, me parece absolutamente perfecta. Cierto que su directo fue peor pero incluso así en mi opinión debió ganar, estaba a años luz del resto
He had the best song that year and would have won the contest if it wasn't for the out of tune problem.( I personally blame the music. a small lapse of time perhaps). Anyway... Same thing could happen with the Italian entry this year. The guys have a difficult - opera style song to sing. The tinniest problem could be a major fall-down for them...Wouldn't bet my money on them no matter how much I love their song. Best of luck though..

Beautiful song, and amazing background. I think it deserved a lot more points than it got, though. In my opinion, it should at least have gotten in the top 10, maybe even top 5.
It has been reported that there were problems with the in-ear monitor return signal throughout the start of his performance. That's what made him sing out of tune! It might have been bad luck, or even sabotage, or - I don't know - just a bad time for him. It was however a MASSIVE song and it's a pity he didn't get a better position!

He deserved to finish in the top 10. But the following day, it was the DSK's scandal sexual which helps us to forget his defeat. It is crazy how news takes power. For go back to Amaury Vassili, he sings better today than in the past. His victory in Mask Singer France proves it. He was excellent.
He has a great voice! But this speech, he greatly alarmed, vocal cords pinch and he sang lower than necessary, and on the high notes he had to tear the throat. Though I am a baritone, but with my voice, there are similar problems for fear of a scene which I can not win.

They could have made this performance so much better. This was almost like his just singing while waiting at the bus stop. Sad, with a such a good song.
The best chance for France to win, spolled by the out of tune from the music (it looks like it was a lapse in time ....) And thne he got nervous for that, fur sure, and ruinned the first part of the song. Dommage à la France
j'aime beaucoup sa chanson mais là il chantait vraiment faux c'est horrible. il semble chercher la tonalité, peut-être qu'il ne s'entendait pas, peut-être un problème de retour. quand on compare avec Sognu en non-live on constate vraiment qu'il chantait faux là.aussi la caméra est souvent posée en face, ya beaucoup moins de plans caméra majestueux, de grands travellings circulaires, durant la prestation d'amaury que lors des prestations des autres candidats, comme si la réalisation de l'eurovision avait voulu le saboter un peu

If jury's ranked him 12th overall then there must not be nothing majorly wrong with this entry on a technical basis, I think the reason why France ended up lower was more to do with the song and act not connecting as well with the Eurovision audience, compared to other acts that year, as tele-vote ranked France at 15th. Still a good entry though my 7th placer imo.

If the studio version of this song was entered then it was clearly the best song that year... the winner of 2011 was a massive rip off.

France didn't win because the song, in a lower register than the normal, didn't allow Vassili to show his real voice.
