Some cracking shots there Craig. Love the reflections under the viaduct

Hi, Paul, To get those reflections in reality would need many visits and all the natural conditions coming together at the same time, that would be one lucky morning. Thank you for watching.

Hi Craig, I actually walked down from Derwent Edge a couple of years ago and noted that I needed to return to capture some images of the reservoirs and Ashopton Bridge but forgot all about it until seeing this video so I will return this year. That single arch photo with reflection is stunning. It looks like an eye 👁‍🗨 You got some other great photos but that single arch shot is fantastic

Hi Paul, That viewpoint has a lot of potential. An autumn walk up there might be on the cards. Not sure if Eddie dodgy knees Skelson would make it, but you never know. I wish I had gone closer to the bridge and took a shot looking across with all the light in the arches compressed in the shot. A shot for another day. Thank you for watching.

You have to be happy with that bridge shot. Nice capture mate. My next upload will be number 100, so I would be honoured if you would be in it.

Hi Eddie, Yes there was another angle for the bridge which will need another visit. Video 100 that is a milestone. I will be definitely making an appearance. Thank you for watching.

Have you tried the IBIS with the 100-400 zoom lens on the tripod? If it works well on the tripod, it would free up the lower ISO. I'm from the US, and in late September of 2023 I went to Padley Gorge with the intention of shooting the trees. My wife and I started from down at the cafe and went up slope along the stream. We made it about 2/3s the way up before she wanted to turn around and so I never found the gnarly trees, a real bummer since that is what I wanted to explore and capture. Where are the gnarly trees located, at the high end?

Hi Steve, I tried the IBIS on the 100-400 hand held the other day and the shots were not sharp until I turned it off. I need to do more testing both hand held and on tripod. To get to the the amazing Gnarly trees from the café, walk across the railway bridge, ignore the first entrance to the Padley trail. Keep following the road, it will bend to the left, then take the next immediate right turn. The road goes up and you eventually enter Padley Gorge at the top. The path is on the left hand side of Burbage Brook. Keep walking, you will come to a gate. Just passed this gate on the left you will see the Gnarly Trees. Thank you for watching.
