I came here looking for MANTIS and was not disappointed. Also, the main character of MANTIS was played by Carl Lumbly, who later beautifully voiced the Martian Manhunter in the DCAU’s Justice League and Justice League Unlimited. 😊

The Green Hornet started on radio in 1936 and went for 18 seasons. On TV it only lasted a single season. Such a shame. The plots were interesting, the fight scenes were fun, the acting was great, the effects were cool and the way Britt would manipulate the criminals and the police to stop the crime and run into each other was legendary.
While Batman took the "campy corny" route the Green Hornet played it straight. I believe that the Batman show hurt the Green Hornet because many expected it to be silly also. I loved the show and even as a 9 year old thought it was cooler than Batman. No goofy gadgets. He had a gas gun the Hornet sting the black beauty and Bruce Lee! How could you NOT love it. RIP to all of the wonderful cast that are no longer with us.

There's a 1930's or 1940's serial called Captain Marvel which is basically Shazam before it was rebranded ( the character, that is) due to copyright issues between Marvel and DC.
In the Conlusion, the actor playing the Green Hornet is called Adam West [Batman] when it should have been Van Williams. It was a very well done program. Bruce Lee's Kato may, by day, have been Britt Reid[grandnephew of the Lone Ranger]'s "houseboy" but they shared a true partnership and the Green Hornet truly needed and appreciated his friend, Kato.
The Cape was a very interesting show and I enjoyed the episodes that were released! it's just a shame it got cancelled after only 1 season. I also remembered Nightman, M.A.N.T.I.S., and Black Scorpion. All three are great shows!
To me Man From Atlantis I considered him as superhero as he also had superpower strength and swimming gliding skills which also swim faster than dolphin when in water almost like Aquaman who is also from Atlantis.
I sat through Inhumans from beginning to end, but it was really tough. The script needed another draft or two at least. You have been generous. It never was a terrible concept. But the biggest problem is obvious -- the studio wanted them to squeeze success out while pinching every penny. That doesn't work. It might have been good... It just screams, "low budget!"
It feels like a early 90s show. The blew their budget on the 1st two episodes for a theatrical release using IMAX cameras. It's shame, I really like the property and the casting wasn't too bad. I still blame Scott Buck. He also oversaw Iron Fist.

Shazam Saturday morning version! Electric woman and Dyno girl is the female version of Shazam!! I heard about the Swamp Thing series but never watched it.
I didn't "forget" any of these, especially Automan, which was a huge favorite of mine. Also had my favorite cheesy 80s celebrity cameo, the sensuous but unfortunately hirsute singer, Laura Brannigan.
This made me think of a TV movie that I think was intended to be a pilot, but never got picked up. "Captain Chameleon and the Paraclete of Justice." Kind of a campy, tongue-in-cheek show, IIRC. I believe it aired on NBC.
There was a Shazam serial in the 1940s. It was then called captain marvel by faucet. It’s surprisingly good, filled with good humor and can be found on RUclips.
I liked Night Man for what it was, but surely the producers could have paid for some sax lessons for Matt so his playing scenes in the club were something approaching believable...
Nightman was cool simply because he's the only character from the Ultraverse to get any kind of live action show after the Ultraforce cartoon was canceled back in the day.

The Shazam series was over before 1978. Rumor has it that (around that time) Hanna-Barbera wanted to use the Captain Marvel character (and Dr. Sivana) in place of Superman and Lex Luthor in Challenge of the Superfriends but Filmation held onto the rights sobthat they could do the Shazam animated show that took them in additional three years to produce and it ended up lasting only one season. Captain Marvel did up in the advertising art for the Hanna Barbera live-action superhero specials and he and Sivana appeared in the soecials.
I’ve rewatched “The Cape” half a dozen times already. It is a great show but came out at the wrong time. Now, it would’ve gone on for several seasons, instead of 10 episodes 😢

It really is a cult classic but I never concidered it as a superhero. More in the genre one might call fantasy.

The Shazam series was over before 1978. Rumor has it that (around that time) Hanna-Barbera wanted to use the Captain Marvel character (and Dr. Sivana) in place of Superman and Lex Luthor in Challenge of the Superfriends but Filmation held onto the rights sobthat they could do the Shazam animated show that took them in additional three years to produce and it ended up lasting only one season. Captain Marvel did up in the advertising art for the Hanna Barbera live-action superhero specials and he and Sivana appeared in the soecials.

I’ve rewatched “The Cape” half a dozen times already. It is a great show but came out at the wrong time. Now, it would’ve gone on for several seasons, instead of 10 episodes 😢
