I got my 2019 model jaguar e pace on 23rd December 2022, it's the p200 AWD r-dynamic s in silver colour with 20 inch black alloys and cream white interior and I must say it's beautiful, very pleased indeed and it's quick too, 0 to 62 mph in 7.7 seconds which is plenty quick enough an actually feels faster when in dynamic mode, the 9 speed auto is smooth an beautiful too, I would definitely recommend this car an suggest people go test drive one before they make there minds up based on a review, I think the interior looks stunning too, feels a special place to be when inside too and it loves twisty roads as well, it's a great car thumbs up from me,best car I've had so far and I had a Mustang back in 2019 an it's nicer to drive than the Mustang was 👌👍 great job by jaguar land rover 👌👌

@John White it has to be driven for it to have no problems - adapts to your driving style. So the more you drive it, the smarter it gets. I had loads at first because it was left parked for days or weeks due to my work-travel schedule. Range Rover sent me a message that pretty much said "this car with all the extras installed (added everything offered) must be driven." Yes! I just bought the SE and it’s like a dream to drive. It feels like an experience is the only way I can explain it. The warranty is amazing which makes me feel good they stand behind their product.
@@pelomocho8567 its about 15 mpg city (I live in urban core of Dallas so mostly short trips) and on long drives to visit fam in burbs or to ATX, it hits about 27ish. Drove one of these while my Disco 4 was being serviced and was very disappointed. It was harsh riding, noisy and unrefined (including lots or road / tyre noise) and the 9 speed transmission was a bit jolty. Worst for me was the bean counters have really compromised the interior material quality, very cheap feeling when you look around and touch the plastics including the shifter. Even as a Jaguar lover I wouldn’t enjoy owning one unfortunately.
Does anyone know how to change the temp unit to Fahrenheit in the 2020 E Pace? It's not in the manual and I'm not close to the dealer. I've changed unit of speed to miles but the temp unit is just hard to find. I'm enjoying my ride though! Love this car! Thanks in advance.
Anluxe M - overly heavy i.e. slow, old tech, too much cheap hard plastic inside, slow- responding gearbox, badly- slanted and outdated centre screen ... yeah, you keep lovin' this -Land- -rover- -evoque- jag, mate.
I haven't driven either but had a look inside an xc40 and the jag side by side in Germany the other day - they turn public areas into open air show rooms!. The jag is much better laid out and more spacious inside imho
Our Rebecca must be very petite. It’s a car I wanted to like, but there’s precious little space in it in comparison to an F-Pace. Definitely one for the slim and agile amongst us.
“the E-Pace is quite a bit more expensive than its rivals”. This is simply not true. There is no low power petrol version so the starting price is higher.
Shame they made it out of steel to get it onto the market quicker and shame about those Suzuki Swift headlights not looking like the I Pace a beautiful aluminum design .
And yet other mum reviewers have rated it a very good practical & comfortable small suv, the rear seat can take three child seats across it, the boot can hold a push chair a child seat and a few bags of shopping and on the ride it’s more than comfortable on the majority of roads.
You can tell this car was rushed to fill a gap in the market. Very old chassis, heavier than the competition and already outdated tech. Doesn't look bad but Jag definitely need to aim more upmarket. Even Volvo have overtaken them now.
I don't really understand why you are all obsessed with weight of SUVs. The trend for lighter and lighter SUVs makes them less practical especially if you intend to tow with them. If you want a sporty car to drive buy a sports car! Then when you talk about practicality, please don't just use a water bottle and suit case to demonstrate it. For example any car that doesn't have a flat load bed when you fold the rear seats down is not practical!
Volvo XC40 sucks compared to the Jag E-pace. I test drove both of them and the Jag is much nicer inside and out in my opinion. The Volvo seemed kind of sluggish, but the E-pace drives like the SUV sports car that it supposed to be! Volvo seemed like it would be more suited for a family or elderly driver.
Why would you title this video this way when the e-pace doesn’t beat any of the competition in any cathegories?? Why not “the e-pace is worst than any other”
must have been a fail for Jaguar. Rebecca didn't have her large 1.5L water bottle, her banana and the steering wasn't good enough to have her to say parking was a doddle .
wake up and smell the coffee today Because the F-Pace is made from bonded and riveted aluminium, while the E-Pace, like it’s European rivals, is made from welded steel.

To answer the titular question, no. You can't make a car that is heavier than it's bigger brother and expect it to lead the segment.

The Jaguar E-Pace’s acceleration is slower than the Xc40, X1, Q3 or GLA. The Jaguar gets a 1 out of 10 for acceleration.
You can tell this car was rushed to fill a gap in the market. Very old chassis, heavier than the competition and already outdated tech. Doesn't look bad but Jag definitely need to aim more upmarket. Even Volvo have overtaken them now.
