Toad just accidentally caused Rat to fall out of his flying machine while he made his stunts, Mole survived and therefore Toad didn't selfishly neglected him, he didn't break into the judge's conservatory and vandalized the palm tree, it was an accident when he fell off his plane, and finally just drugged the chimney sweep so he could borrow his clothes so he can get away from the judge, he didn't murder him. Those are the facts of Toad's innocence.

The trial scene was dramatic yet emotional.
Christopher Potter Yeah. It was a scene that felt so intense, yet I still liked it.
Fortunately, the butler came clear Toad's name, saying that the chimney sweep is alive, therefore Toad's innocent all along.
Toad didn’t need a lawyer, when he had Prendergast.
