Another great, fascinating video & also such talented artists. Most of the subjects are so disturbing & full of sorrow, I'm glad you included the 'International Day Of Peace' at the end, gives us all some hope.

Thank you Julie glad you enjoyed the video. I guess coming from it I like others that grew up witnessing it, makes it not as hard hitting to us, but there is an AMAZING shift since before the Peace process so there is more reason to be hopeful than not, it will just take time and I would rather take slow steps and build on solid foundations than to just simply airbrush out the past and more importantly resolve some major issues that still need addressed. Sending you Love from Ireland and thanks for watching ♥ Sean

Thank you Sean for such an insightful set of images. A portrayal we never get to see here in North East England.

Such a powerful series, Sean. As always, very impressive work. Compared to decades past, the struggle in Ireland has been relatively quiet--at least in the news here in the US--so I wasn't sure just how pervasive it still was, but these murals make it abundantly clear how the people still feel.

Thank you Billy it is like night and day compared to the old days so please dont assume what the thoughts of the majority of people still feel as a result of murals, their is a Peace process here on both sides and their is still issues and hurt felt on both sides and the murals are a way that some choose to voice their feelings ♥ Sean

excellent video Sean, i am amazed at the skill of that work, i was reading somewhere, or watched a video (cant recall which) that two well known artists from both sides of the divide had joined together to paint walls together, a nice sign of the time....i recall seeing that Milltown incident on the TV, that was wrong on so many levels, wishing you all the best from the UK

Rambles with my camera. Murals add alot of colour to what would otherwise be just any old place. Should be used everywhere brighten the place up. Only recently has one been added in my home town. Keep up the good work. Enjoying your videos etc

Thanks Nigel glad you enjoyed it man. In relation to the political murals we are still in a divided state here and so many of the murals is a reminder of the past, and also what is still unresolved and which needs to be resolved in many of the murals reflect so many issues that have been swept under the carpet and hushed up, so they are there to remind the viewer of that issue and cover up and I support many of those murals, yet not all of them I may add ♥ Sending Love from across the pond my Brother - Sean

That is a pity you have such a division in such a beautiful country. I didn't realise it was still that sensitive. As you are aware we had big issues in London, Guildford, Manchester and Birmingham etc. There are no reminders there, but it doesn't meant the pain and suffering is any less. After all this time, I don't think the questions will ever get answered on either sides. Hillsborough is an prime example in England, where cover ups were made to save peoples arses. Usually they are long gone before they get eventually get exposed. Sometimes we have to draw a line and suffer the pain in order to move on. I would like to see an artist at work and how they plan something of such a big scale. Wishing peace to you all! 🙂

Again a great Video of yours and great murals, wish I hat the time to read them all. They all past by soooo quickly. Shame that a lot of them Have such a sad and bloody background. Lets hope for peace in the future!

Klaus Tiburski I'm from Belfast and for an outsider looking in it seems abnormal. But being an insider from a segregated society, it is very normal for us. It's part of who we are and it's written in our history. One thing that we have come to learn as a society who embarked on a peace process in 1998 and is in transition, is that, in order to move on into the future together, we must first and foremost deal with the past. I hope this gives you a better understanding that there is deeper meanings behind these images which carry a significant importance to many people mate.

Thanks Klaus glad you enjoyed it man. Klaus there is 174 photos so you could imagine if I had kept them on the screen longer than the 3.5 secs I gave them you guys would be looking at a 25+min video instead of a 13 :-) so it may be best to pause them man. As for the bloody background of some of the images I totally agree with you I too wish they were not there nor never there, but sadly it is part of our past and sadly is still part of our present in relation to sovereignty and injustices and cover ups.
I hope one day they will no longer be there, as there is no need to be constantly reminded of days gone past, yesterdays news as they say unless its there as reminder to us of where we came from and where we have progressed to, and where we dont want to go back.
So I can see why you see them that way and you are correct its a bloody past, yet I also see them as a reminder of where we dont want to go back to, but yes I hope one day the war murals are replaced with positive imagery but it will take time but it will happen but issues why they are there in the first place and hurt on both sides still needs resolving and that is happening through the Peace process, which is all good man - Sean

Great video shows how much great art that there is in Belfast on both sides of the community. Just one question? Great music by Andrew Applepie but what is the name of the song?

I think with the way current state of play is, so many of the murals are being replaced with other non political murals, but I think there has to be a balance and slow steps will be required but yes I do like to see non political murals but I can see a need for political ones also ♥ Sean

Another great video bro.....Love these images, they seem a lot sharper and vibrant than past presentations, have you changed your camera settings or post style or maybe used a tripod...Don't have anything like this where I live.....Paint a wall and the council come and clean it off....Mind you, most of the artists around here are of the 'piss' fraternity and couldn't stand upright long enough to lift a brush.

Thanks David glad you enjoyed it man :-) no all settings and post are the same, as mentioned I am now uploading at 1080 than 720 so there is a slightly higher res increase due to the 1080 :-) Had me laughing at your local artists haha

i have to politely disagree, with comments regarding the political murals...they still have a very important part to play, if the community didnt still feel a need for them, they wouldnt be there... the murals are just a symptom. im for peace as much as anyone, but a mural such as that depicting the 'ballymurphy massacre' is to my mind, a perfect example of how a community speaks on for those who cannot speak for themselves. cheers.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts I am great believer in you can not move forward when you are always looking to the past BUT when there is issues unresolved in the past irrespective of which community it is, then I am all for it being shown ♥ Sean

jaio 1Ø1 true. It's reckoned that if something had been done about the Ballymurphy masacre then it could have nipped things on the bud and perhaps prevented Bloody Sunday. The M.O.D. are just passing time now in the hope that present and future generations belonging to the victims of the British state will wither away.
