Great video Barry, everyone should have a go at fixing things if they feel up to it after all you can't make it any worse if it is broken and you were going to replace it anyway. I recently fixed the heater/pump/control unit on my daughters Spa, they didn't sell spares as they claimed it is a non-serviceable unit and wanted £198 for a new one. The output pump was leaking as it had a cracked spigot and I was able to buy a refurbished replacement that came with a new motor, impeller and seals from eBay for £40 fully tested with a 3 month guarantee. It works great and my daughter is very happy as I'd saved her £160.
Hi Terry totally agree, to many of the suppliers want to sell you the easy option for them, not's whats best all round. GB need to get back to repair not replace. many thanks Barry
Hi Jon, thats exactly why I thought it might be interesting and usefull to viewers,(especially caravaners) for a couple of minutes and the simplest of tools people could effect their own repair. Save a lot of money and learn a little something along the way. many thanks Jon Barry
Great video. Good to see other stuff videoed. I've been hard at work fixing all kinds of stuff around here, but haven't videoed any of it. Going to have to start doing that I guess. I'm out of tractor content until later this year.
Hi Shane, thought I would do something a little different, trying hard to get the wiring finished but like you we're just so very busy at the moment. good luck with the move. Barry
Hoy you don't go blaming me for your ancient tap, leaking. In 40 years of pluming I never had to fit a cartridge to that style of tap. They never leak. Woolsey have a huge range of spares like that. Just take it along to them and they should be able to fix you up .Probably more than £6, M 🙃
Hi Marshall, I've got to blame someone and I can't blame Debs, she's standing to close to the frying pan and the cutlery draw. As you say proper plumbing suppliers like Woolsey will carry parts, It would be interesting to find out what they would charge for a replacement cassette. might give them a ring just for giggles. many thanks Barry
