this is the "cog" of the line. aka the figure you probably wouldnt mind buying 20 of and just figuring out how many possible configurations you could make
Am I the only one who would partner Ironworks with Omega Supreme? Like how Cog is with Fortress Maximus, Sixgun with Metroplex, and Brunt with Trypticon.
Tho, after watching this again and pondering a bit. I have a back story for him. He's the ol' former pirate that now works offloading conex boxes at the Port. Tho with transformers it's more of spaceport rather than ship port.
Thank you for mentioning the Shapeways propeller. Normally I pass on all the upgrades, I just feel they aren't worth the money, but Iron Works was the only Micromaster base I had as a kid so I wanted to complete it.
Im glad i can still i can still comment on your channel, with that said, like always and for a few years now, always good to see your reviews, they always help me decide on the purchase of transformers, emgo, have you ever tried to combine the weaponizers making 1 big bad transformer
After finally picking this guy up, I've given Ironworks the role of machinist and blacksmith for the Autobots. He machines special parts for Ratchet and Wheeljack and forges simple yet sturdy melee weapons for the rest of the Autobots. His tow hook and welding tool come in handy for performing minor repair jobs as well. He's a bit of a gruff and grumpy sort (especially around Wheeljack) but he's a big softie around minicons and loves to look after the little guys. In return, the minicons love to help Ironworks in his shop.
Ok never heard of this guy before but he looks pretty good. Given what he partsforms into I’d say characters like Wheeljack, Ratchet or Hoist are suited the best for Ironworks. Map checklist: Micron, Antilla, Junkion, Dead Universe, Velocitron.
Ironworks was an original Micromaster Base. Though the name was given to the Micromaster, not the base. In this line, the base gets the name. There were other Micromaster Bases, and the Base Masters I can remember were named Hot House (base is a fire station,), Greasetrap (base is a gas station), and Airwave (base is an airport).
Remold the gun into a partsform8ng oil drill that doubles as a railgun, repaint the whole thing to look like an offshore oil platform and add the platforming legs and make it the first leader class weaponizer. Must come with "oil drill fire" effects parts. Make him a Decepticon. Win.
I think that it is the safety boots (you know those who use the masons and architects in the constructions) more successful so far, at least it is seen that they can `` provide '' some protection
Cannot express how excited I am for him. He's different. Not a car, not a plane, or tank or rocket. It would be awesome to see the concept applied to a larger figure(not counting the titans cause they're a special case)
i imagine wheeljack walking up to prime Wearing the ironworks armor and optimus prime sighs pull out a bottle of the energon booze from his chest (where the matrix should be) take a swig pauses for a second and says "okay wheeljack what have you created this time"
That’s neat about it being a weponizer and compatible with effects parts I can imagine all sorts of situations he’d be in like example gets Blooshed in the arm it falls off oops friendly fire
Nice little thing I noticed; in base mode the crotch can wobble a bit. It doesn't really affect his stability, but it's a thing. But you can rotate the hip pieces round and the posts will rest in grooves on the underside of the ramp, and that'll hold the crotch in place. Inb4 retool as Greasepit.
Since the 1st 3 weaponizers (Sixgun, Cog, and Brunt) were originally Accessories / mini-bots to Metroplex, Fort Max, and Trypticon in G1, do you think we'll get a weaponizer version of Fast Track around the time Titan-class Scorponok comes out? We already know from last year's hint that Scorponok will come with a deluxe-class Zarak for his headmaster. So Fast Track is all that's missing. Well... Slammer's missing too I suppose, but I wouldn't expect to see him anytime soon. (Little white tank from G1 Metroplex that never had a robot mode.)
@@baconbits4123 I didn't know at the time I wrote the comment, but yes I know he's coming now. As of last weekend I already have him pre-ordered on Amazon.
I like the idea of taking the micromaster bases and giving them actual robot modes, and keeping the Weaponizer gimmick of being add-ons for other Transformers. This guy would probably work great with Hoist or Grapple. Pair this guy with Irontread (that is the correct name yes) from the Target micromaster 10-pack, Irontread conveniently has a decent 'gun' mode even without being combined with another micromaster for the robot mode to use.
So, move the crane base forward and on its side, swap the crane and the gun (I like to invert the gun, yellow part to the arm) and you have a nice defense turret, sort of...
You can connect him to siege Omega Supreme as well since he has the connection points as well. That may have been the intention between the two toy-lines.
As a kids toy, it works. I would have probably wanted this waaay back. As a collector though? All I can do is stare, sigh and shake my head. Nope. It comes off as a strange Transformers X Micro Machines crossover gimmick toy.
Which do you think would be the better satellite fins for Ironworks’ communications tower, Cyberverse Shockwave’s Solar Shot fins or the upcoming Grapple’s claw-hand piece? (Also, I was hoping this guy plugged in by himself to Omega Supreme, but the only ramps low enough to connect are blocked off by the legs/sides)
Have you gotten the Botropolis Rescue Mission pack with the repaints of this guy and Airwave in Skylynx colours? It comes with repaints of the micromaster shuttle and apc combiners, as well as Doubledealer's missile for the shuttle to attach to. I highly recommend it if you haven't.
It's so weird to think that there are transformers without robot modes. Like, even weirder than the idea of giant alien robots that turn into cars and things.
this is the "cog" of the line. aka the figure you probably wouldnt mind buying 20 of and just figuring out how many possible configurations you could make

Same for me. It makes them look almost like drones that you can army build with.
