When using older 120 film camera's with red windows to see the frame number, you should mask the red window really lightproof. Otherwise you get blown-out circles on your photographs. I found out myself that ducttape is not lightproof enough, you can take a piece of household aluminum foil and tape that over the window.
Hi Josh! Just found your video bc I recently bought said adapter and want to try it out, just one burning question: How do I know when the current frame ends so it won't overlap with the next one? Lovely video and great shots! Greetings from Mexico!
@@MJLyon100 You should feel more confident, I really feel like you know what you're talking about and it comes across so well! Also, love the lofi tunesssss man, trill beats....
Thank you! and you're welcome! No, so I load the film into the back whilst inside a dark bag, so no light can get in and expose any of the film :) you can also do it inside a dark room if you have access to one :)
Thank you for joining me in destroying film borders! Did you know kodak and fuji have been pushing film borders for decades? They don't want us to know that we can shoot across the entire width of our film. Let's band together and stick it to the man! Show them we're not gonna be boxed in! If you want to dive deeper into my theory on why sprocketless is the norm, check out my comedic sprocket hole film photography-centic youtube shorts. I'm only getting 8 frames adapting 35mm into my Yashica TLR. IDk why it wants to space it out so much when using 35mm. What is jesspos color film. Those expired color shifts are bonkers cool! Thank you so much for sharing, SUBSCRIBED! I hate having to rant to the internet to plug my stuff, but I love sprockets and I gotta get the word out. See you on the scroll sprocket sibling!
im using Mamiya 645 which doesnt have a separate film back but i think it will do just fine. One thing i am curious to know is that landscape/portrait mode of the camera is reversed now right?
Hello! - Not mandatory at all to use a tripod as long as you're shooting above 60th of a second, however, it was pushing into the evening when I filmed this, so I was going below that which is why I brought along a tripod :) hope that helps!
Because some people like the look of 35mm? Maybe because is some places is easier to get 35mm film instead of 120 or 620? Maybe because it's cheaper? You tell me
It gives a wider shot. Like an xpan. Also for aesthetic reasons. Like a digital photographer asking why in the world would anyone still use film? Well, why would anyone use 35mm on medium format? Because they feel like it.

Thanks for the tip !
Thank you for the valuable video.
Thanks to your video, I was able to take pictures in 35mm on my RB67.
May God bless you always...
Hello ! The tip for rewinding the film is what I was looking for. You made my day ! And now I can experiment all the thing. Bisous !
Aesthetics are something else on this video, another good one.
A thanks for the love dan my man xo
i can only agree

i have the same question, how to know in older medium format cameras, when to stop?
Always quality editing and I always feel you're so confident Infront of the camera! Side note, one of the more fashionable RUclipsrs online imo...
Thanks! oh definitely don't feel confident in front of the camera, but great that it comes off that way, the 2 beers might have helped... ;)

6:12 and 6:50 were my favorite shots. I think the best of the roll
Cows are so interesting, starts of with one cow then all the friends gather like “hey Cheryl what you doing”
Great video mate, I'm about to dive into giving this a go on my mamiya m645. Do you have any tips on knowing how far to wind after each shot?
I need an answer too
This is great. Thanks for the tutorial! I am assuming that all that film being exposed when you load it has to be wasted?
Thank you! and you're welcome!

Amazing! I enjoyed your video man, just want to ask what scanner did you use to digitalize your photos. Thanka
Another great video mate!

Thankyou man! that means alot :) - Its been a crazy few months but will be getting back to some context soon!
Doing this with slide film would be awesome
Wow now that's an idea 👀👀
Nicely done video 👍
Thanks Richard!
Great vibes in this one ✌️
Thanks Tim ! ✨
For the Horizontal photos, you had to tilt the camera 90 degres?
Not with this particular camera! - The RB67 has a rotating film back so you dont have to tilt the camera! :)
@@MJLyon100 oooh nice :) thanks
Great explanation Josh!
Thanks Dan ! :)

Oh nice let me know how it goes!
Hmm I dont beleive so, i think it was still the same for me! could be completely wrong tho this was a while ago ha
Where'd you get this "8mm" look or layout for the video 😅
Tnx for guide bro 😊 nice photos
Hello. To do this is is mandatory to always use a tripod or can you shoot without one with this hack?

Que gran idea, gracias por compartir. bellísimas fotos.
I feel like respooling the 35mm film on 120 backing paper is the easier way to go.
Thanks man. Great job as well!
You're very welcome, much appreciated! :)
Nice tips bro!
Two upvotes on Reddit 🤣🤣🤣 so true.
You can also just buy the adapters online
Yes ! I mentioned it in the video and also added some links in the description :)
😍😍😍
Why in the world would someone want to do that 😂
Thats what im aksing myself rn
