Amazing. They are integrated in the landscape, not like something separate. Peace

I love this video, and I am particularly moved by the music, I am drawn to this video and the temple, one day, I would be delighted and honoured
to visit somewhere that holds the principles and the guidances of this serene place.

the swords now are floppy because they are used for contemporary wushu purposes. floppy blades make a loud sound when thrust correctly, thus judges want to hear the sound made to determine the proper execution of the technique. in the past their swords were definitely rigid and strong especially those used for warfare.

Because its for show. These flexible weapons were introduced with Modern Wushu. Of course before there were already flexible weapons but the main weapons werent like that. The were heavier for training and of course not flexible in that way. Or as you put it floppy.

The real thing is not floppy. The soft ones are used for training only. And actually there are people who have used it in battle against great swordsmen and won. There is no sense in talking about it if you don't know, haven't trained etc. Go study with a real master and you will soon learn the difference between what you talk and what you experience.

Around 15:30, you can see a monk hitting himself in the balls, and then in the back, with the unsharpened blade of his yo-yo weapon.
