Hi from London 🇬🇧 Thank you, Doug, for the bread tip; I used brioche rolls and wow! They are SOOOO much better and tastier than standard bread; they hold the custard perfectly. I added frozen mixed berries, and some chocolate chips...worked a treat! Enjoying mine for brunch 😋
really love the improvements on a pretty creative recipe - cant wait to make these-love the savory ideas and then the ricotta idea--i swooned a little thanks!!
Omg i made custard toast this morning for he first time, it was really yummy, i used honey, cinnamon, sugar, the sprinkle of salt, and brioche buns. We have apricot jam but I wasnt sure how to use it, so thank you so much, tomorrow ill do it. Im very excited to try it again now and experiment. This was very fun to watch !! I love the kitty cameo 😻
Same, I made it with raisin bread and put cinnamon, vanilla and maple syrup in my mixture...wasn't as amazing as it sounds...might try the brioche+sugar+fresh fruits tricks :D
Thank you for watching. 😊 Yes, you can make the toasts in a regular oven, just as I did in a toaster size oven. Similar temperature, on the middle rack. Keep an eye on the custard. When the toasts just have the slightest jiggle, they would be done. A double or triple batch recipe works well. 👍
I’ve had good success with ricotta cheese in place of the yogurt. I haven’t tried any of the nondairy yogurt, but that might be worth experimenting with as well. Thanks for watching! 😊

Wow great tips. ? Can these be made in a regular oven? And how do I double or triple the recipe for a brunch party?

how long do i bake it in the oven and how long?
350°F / 177°C / Gas Mark 4, middle rack for about 12 minutes, or until the custard hass just a very light jiggle. Thanks for watching!😀
What other alternatives are there for plain Greek yogurt?
I’ve had good success with ricotta cheese in place of the yogurt. I haven’t tried any of the nondairy yogurt, but that might be worth experimenting with as well. Thanks for watching! 😊
Wow!!! Do you have a cook book??
Thank you so much for watching Lisa! 😊No book just yet.
@@DougCooking please write one. I’ll be first in line to purchase!!
breakfast is suppose to be quick...too many steps🙂
Valid feedback. :-) Maybe better for a weekend slow morning. Thanks for watching!
You could totally make it while getting ready for work, that's the magic of putting things in the air fryer/oven
This is definitely one of those weekend or holiday breakfast ideas! Looks impressive.
