I feel bad for the guy whose parents didn't come. No matter what, his parents should've showed up for the graduation. That's your kid man, it's like a basic parent-responsibilty to be there for one of the biggest milestones in their life.
@@Fusion-l6tIn primary 6 my class made a movie, our parents were invited to the premier, everyone's parent's came except mine even tho I kept reminding them to come. I wish I had my copy of the movie, I lost it, i would have uploaded on here even though our teacher said not to do that, it's been over 15 years so I dont think he would care now.
A lot of them know each other, so I’d think they might have a system to upload on the same day. My theory is that maybe if a viewer is subscribed to one animator, if they see another animator’s channel (by them sharing their video or something), they can check out a video that was made just recently on that person’s channel. Or maybe it’s algorithm stuff possibly.
That first story is exactly why I'm leaving grad school. Went through that through middle school, through high school, tried not to let my grades define me in undergrad but the environment was so toxic you were roped in without even realizing it. Everyone at my university was absolutely miserable and I couldn't be trapped there for another two years
Man… Maaz getting bullied as a kid but coping with it in a positive way & being more extroverted is such a big commitment. I wish I could be like that.
Maaz was the big person instead of those bullies. Instead of fighting them or destroying their hard work. He just didn’t do any of that. And he’s still the positive and funny guy we all know
It's always surprising when characters we know in one context take on a completely different role! Garfield is such a classic character, it must've been fun to see him in a new light like that. Have you ever had a moment where something unexpected happened that completely changed the way you viewed a situation?
As someone from a very prestigious high school, I can definitely relate to Maaz here. Of course I'm very grateful to have this opportunity, but the imposter syndrome goes crazyy. Nobody's outwardly toxic, but there's this hegemonic environment of 'if academics isn't your top priority then you will be judged'. And everyone goes oh no I got a 95% instead of a 99% I did so bad. It makes it really difficult for everyone there to realise that all of us are talented just for being in that school in the first place, because when everyone seems insanely gifted, no one does.
My heart legit sank when the guy told Maaz that his parents didn't show up for his graduation.💔 I mean just think about it: the biggest milestone in your life is graduating from high school and no one, worse your parents are around to support your success. Personally, I wouldn't forgive my parents if I was him.
I highly disagree that graduating from high school is the biggest milestone in your life, but yeah his parents still should have been there and it's heartbreaking that they didn't show up simply because he wasn't top of the class

i go to the most prestigious school in south america, and it sucks the amount of pressure my friends parents, the teachers, ect.put on us because they actually expect us to to study 24/7 and never screw up
The guy whose parents didn't come sounds similar to one of my cousin's parents. I have cousins who are my classmates growing up and obviously, there was a competitive culture on our family's side. Except, I was not working to be on top but just to be part of the honor roll while my cousin was the high-achieving one. The person she competed with was one of my best friends (and yes, we had bad blood because of this) and every time they fought to the top, it was always not a good end to the parents. My former best friend had a very supportive mother while my cousin's parents were kinda... abusive (hoping to God, she doesn't stumble upon this comment of mine knowing my name is out but anywho). Her parents would never appear on graduation or recognition day if she was not the top student, hence because of this a lot of the teachers and my parents would stand as the substitute parents for her. Her parents being like this are known throughout our class hence we sometimes felt sorry for her. Thankfully, at the end of high school, she made it to the top and gave an awesome valedictory speech.
I honestly don't know if this would genuinely count as "Traumatic"... because through out my time in High school I was honestly just numb, and wanted to be done. Regardless, you should know that in my High school, we had 'Global High' they don't do it anymore however it's basically a "High School within a High School" so that all your core subjects are smaller classes. I only say this information because otherwise I don't really have any theories on why these kids tried to do this to me. Anyway so it’s also mandatory to take speech, which I did in ninth grade to get it out of the way, and one day I remember that my class was doing a project in the lower level of the library. So that we could use the laptops quietly while other students do whatever they were doing on the higher level, and I just remember that one of the groups from my class just tried to basically lure me over to their table to show me pictures of dead cats that they had Googled for whatever reason. I’m sure that they knew what would happen, but I genuinely don’t know why they decided to target me specifically… I didn’t go over there, my speech teacher stopped me and told me what they were trying to do. I still cried… just softly near my own group. Every time I think of this moment, I just don’t understand why someone or a small group of individuals would be so cruel or even just plain mean… 🤷♂️
That's so weird and messed up. It reminds me of the time I was on my way home from school with my dad and younger brothers and a guy driving past honked the horn to get our attention then stuck the middle finger up at us and he had such an angry look on his face. I didn't know him, he didnt know me, I dont know why he had that hate for me, a random kid.

This is the fifth new animation I’ve watched today
I didn't know him, he didnt know me, I dont know why he had that hate for me, a random kid.
i wanna say, maaz and illy dressed as furries was the least that i expected
