They don’t waist a thing there. Even the little bit that doesn’t get back to the baler gets swept up and either used for straw/erosion bales or fed to his cows. They even recycle the net wrap.
pretty slick set up. Not sure how much waste it catches, but that set up is worth it to save on clean up time. I've seen how fast spillage piles up under conveyors.
Brian, Bobcat still makes those 4-wheel steer loaders. Unfortunately, they're smaller hp (25 or so). I believe their lift capacity is around 1900 lbs with their telescopic booms.
Great looking setup and i am pleased to see how much of the chaff they try to to collect since most re balers i have seen have way too much waste and loss . I had one of those 4 wheel bobcats they are nice for in a warehouse but were lacking some lift for most pallets i had to move. and it was worthless in muddy cow lots lol
I’m not exactly sure what kind of lift these have I know he could pick up 2 1200# rounds with it and the big grapple attached and for what they did it was perfect for the setup
Ed I had asked him and because it’s all 3 phase he’s said it’s about 3-400 a month. He also has a grain cleaning facility in that same building as well so it uses some of that.
Thanks Brian, cool setup are they rebailing your hay for you or are you that busy and need more ? And is this like your plan for an operation ? Thanks for bringing us along 👌 Stay safe and happy !! 🇨🇦 Craig
Unfortunately it’s there hay we are in the buying hay stage till spring. I still have some rounds but they are outside and I can’t get it to stop raining long enough to get them dried out to break down so we are just feeding those and selling them as rounds.
It’s really cool and they quit making them 2 years ago because they never took off. I would love to have one in the fields as they wouldn’t tear up the ground near as bad.
@@SLCFarms some snow is ok, but now it is so deep you can't go anywhere on the property unless I plow a road first. I had a lot of projects I wanted to do, but can't get to them now lol
This was really a neat concept. They quit making them 2 years ago I guess because no one saw the advantage. I like it just for the reason you said, won’t ear up a yard
On a different note, do they ever worry about fire, and do they have a system to fight it if it ever was to happen, other than of course the obvious ways to fight fire?
Good point I didn’t make. The owner is a retired fireman and has a full sprinkler system and his own fire truck. He is very concerned with that and won’t even store hay in the work area incase it were to catch fire so he won’t loose everything
That's really a nice setup. Clean and quiet. Thanks for taking us along.
It’s really a sight to see. Thanks for watching.
That was a good tour Brian, thanks for sharing that. Take care and have a blessed day.
Thanks friend. You and yours have a blessed week as well sir.
Thanks for sharing this Brian that’s really cool. Heck of a lot easier than making them in the field!
Thanks for the tour.
I thought it was worth sharing. It’s really a cool operation
That's an awesome setup Brian. I enjoy riding along on your travels. Thanks for sharing.
Clean setup they have. I like how they have minimal waist. Great video, see yall next time

Has a great operation there. Great video to show the behind the scenes on how it all works.
Awesome video. Thanks for sharing. That is a really cool set up.
Another really good video Brian.
Thank you.
That was an amazing set-up! Thanks for sharing the video👍🏻‼️
I was impressed
That was a really interesting video, thankyou for sharing!!
Great ingenuity in this system. Looks really efficient.
They said they can make over 3000 squares a day there
@@SLCFarms that’s awesome, Somebody put a lot of thought into that system. I’d like to go go see it in operation sometime.
Love IT ! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching. We were really impressed
Love to hear that turbo whine is that a Detroit diesel in your truck sounds good 👌
Doesn’t it though. The camera really does a good job with the sound of that truck.
They sure do have a top notch setup. Very clean and efficient. Have a good one buddy
I think so buddy. Thanks for watching
pretty slick set up. Not sure how much waste it catches, but that set up is worth it to save on clean up time. I've seen how fast spillage piles up under conveyors.
That is really awesome setup.
Pretty sophisticated operation bunch of cipherin and cigarettes went into designing the rebaler. Thanks for sharing have a good one
Dang right it did.
Dat turbo doe!!
wow what a cool piece of equipment ! !
Wow. That is impressive engineering

I guess the owner meant that model. He bought 2 of them before there were none available and said he loves them.
Cool operation. What was the buzzer for? Was it a bale counter or some kinda detector?
I think it and a light go off when the bale hits the scale, saying it’s the right weight or something to that affect
@@SLCFarms that crab steer on the bobcat would be nice too. I'd like that on a deere. Bobcat cabs are to small for me.

Impressive operation. Great video...👍
Thank you for the tour Brian!! Pretty cool setup!! I wonder what the electric bill is?? Probably less than if it was all run off a tractor

@@SLCFarms not bad then, it does make a big difference if you have 3 phase 👍

Now that’s a slick set up right yonder
I thought it was. Thanks for watching
That is an awesome, and amazingly efficient operation. They should patent the system and sell them.
He really should. He had computer soft made for it and all.
Wow never saw that before very neat
How much cost per bale to rebale nice operation too some thinking to make this happen real slick
About a dollar a bale
Good job
Damn that's pretty slick it took dam near 5/51/2 hrs with two guys doing it one on tractor n one stacking wagon 620 bales for the day
I have never seen a skidsteer like that bobcat be able to steer like that before
It’s really cool and they quit making them 2 years ago because they never took off. I would love to have one in the fields as they wouldn’t tear up the ground near as bad.
@@SLCFarms right and it would be a nicer ride for the operator
It's been snowing here every few days for months :( They really keep a clean operation!
Man I’d rather have snow and frozen ground than this sloppy mess we have. But saying that is easier than actually living it.
@@SLCFarms some snow is ok, but now it is so deep you can't go anywhere on the property unless I plow a road first. I had a lot of projects I wanted to do, but can't get to them now lol
Nice 👍
Sweet operation
That good make money?
Yeah I wonder why more companies font make wheel steering skid steerers, especially for landscapers who don't want to tear up ground when working it.

When you have the market....... you gear your operation.. to fit that market.....
Yes sir and this man has a market. They did 1.2 million bales last year. I think that’s just crazy
Very neat video. Do you have their phone number? I have a rebaling setup and would like to know what brand those drag chain conveyors are
