Helpful vid, me personally I always take off the end can (two bolts) it gets in the way, lube the caliper slide pin with silicon grease when reinstalling, and torque up the caliper bolts with torque wrench. Good vid though thanks for sharing
Nice video - good techniques! 👍🏻
$200 brake job in 4 minutes. Don't forgot to clean and lube the metal parts inside the caliper. DIY!
jolie video faut continuer comme ça
Very good video, but I don't like chain tension adjustment by hand. Please, use Allen wrench.
Thanks. You think that at 3:00 when I pulled the wheel by hand? That was yust check that everything is set on place. Chain was adjusted after that on spacers. It is not on video.
I have a concern about using the genuine pads ir the ebc. Is there a huge difference between them or not?
Not big difference. I have a feeling that the EBC's brake a little harder, but also wear the disc more. However, this is just my feeling, which may not be correct. I don't always ride with the same style and the bike is not always equally weighted.
Great video! Could you tell me what type/brand of Thread lock you've used?
Thanks. I don't remember what brand of thread lock it was. The only one I had. I think it was Loctite.
Great video, can you tell me what type of pads they were? Love the red. Also love the Conti tires, how do you find them compared to other tires?
Brembo brake pads.
I like Conti tires. Before them I mounted every time different tires. But once I tryed Conti, I stay on them. It is my third set. They are good on pavement even if it's wet. And they also allow some easy offroading on gravel road.
Ful dobr video :)
Very nice video!!! THANKS!!!
With how many kilometers you CHANGED the brake discs???
I also own a DL-1000 (I´m in México) with almost 86,000 Kms... and I noticed the discs seem to be--- thinner in the center part!!!
I´d appreciate a lot your comments... ;)
Nice rides and... thanks for sharing this videos!!!!
30.000 km. I was riding motogymkhana on polygon. And there is a lot using and dragging of rear brake.
My old disc was also thinner and furrow at center 3.7mm. New disc is 5,4mm.
Thanks for the information... ;9
Gymkhana quickly kills the rear brake (and the front tire) :-)
Yes. I change two front tires in one back tire lifetime : )
:-) BTW: Have you seen my first competition?
I saw it...only third place?...I expected it better from you ;)
Just kidding. It is nice you have gymkhana events. Nothing in my country.
BTW: Did you got 3 sec penalty? Why?
And what happend in 2nd run?
It was just a warm-up round (and jitters). ;-)
Penalty probably for the second mirror.
How much km?
30.000 km. I was riding motogymkhana on polygon. And there is a lot using and dragging of rear brake.
